A little while ago I started a discussion about my great-nephew having an over the top party at one years old. There were supoposed to be 100 guess. Well today is the big day and I am not going unless someone comes to pick me up.
It was hard for me to finally decide not to do this, I agonized for weeks, because I love my sister and I really want to see my family. The last time I saw them was at the start of this year.
The problem is that I don't drive and no one is coming to get me. So I would have to take three buses on a Sunday, for two hours to get to the park, then walk up a hill, I don't know how far, until I get to the pond. It is cold and I have asthma. Is she crazy for expecting me to be there? I know that I said I would, but now I am having second thoughts. There are suppose to be a lot of children present, but if I had a child, I would not bring them out in this kind of weather.

Birthday happens not just ones but every year so if you cannot make it in his first year then better luck next time.Dont bother yourself to much cause you have a valid reasons for doing that.Just let them know that your'e not coming and explain to why so that they will not expect.

I would vote not to go, since shes planned a way over the top outisde party for a one year old that wont remember it. If she videos it, maybe you can watch it later. I would plan a special day to spend time with your nephew, I am sure he would enjoy that more.

I would want to go just to see what your sister is going to do with 100 guests!! If you don't have the ride, don't go. It sounds like a lot of trouble for a 1 yr old.

Whoa. That is horrible. O_O I can't imagine myself doing those torture. Hahaha. Yeah, you're right. If I was her, I will not bring my children out. If it is very cold then the children will surely have colds. So, just stay at home since you have a valid reason. They should understand that.

You should ask her to come pick you up.If she dont want to,how about the day before the party so that she wont have any worries. How about talking to your nephew and send him a gift. There is going to be alot of people there already im sure your nephew will be okay.

I wouldn't worry too much about not going if I was you. The baby is hardly going to remember and they are much more likely to thank you for a well thought out present that will last them a long time rather than your company at a party that they will never remember.
