are you afraid of getting old?

sigh..how time flies..
the energy you got when u where younger wears out..the good looks..the liveliness...the youthfullness..
i was wondering a while ago..when i saw my grandma.....i just thought would i got to live that long?would i grow that old with those wrinkeles on the face..all those white hair..the freckles..the vision..the way she walks..
yes i think im afraid of getting old..but come to think of it.. getting old means you have lived life..more knowledge..experiences..joy,sadness..all of it!!Being through a lot and getting over it is a great achievement we should be thankful of..
so on second thought..maybe i shouldn't be afraid after all..right??it's just the physical aspects that fades..but the emotional,spiritual,social and knowledge that grows with you through the years..
So live life and enjoy while ur still alive!!

why be afraid of being old, when you can experience a lot of good and bad things in life that develop our personality. you can stop it, not even the plastic surgery. its a natural and fair process. a lot of positive thing still can be done. but the question is how you can deal with oldness comfortably. aren't you like it being old, but you can teach a lot and can give a good advice to a young generation of what to do and not to do because you experience so many things.

I don't relish the thought of getting older but like you said with getting older means that you have lived life . Without getting older we would never be able to watch our families grow either and I want to be there to watch my children in every stage of there life but in order to do this I also have to get older , so I would say that at times it bothers me but then there are times that I am just happy to be who I am and to be able to witness all the joys that are still left in life to see , such as something new as my children get older and seeing all there firsts for the very first time .
