I really love listening to blues music. Some of my favorite artists are B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, and Son House.

You know Tomcat,Eric Clapton is good, and he is good at what he does, but when I listen to blues, I listen to the original blues pickers, that Eric Clapton learned from and brought their music out into the limelight! And you know what I really like about Eric Clapton, and I don't know if anyone has noticed this or not, but, Eric Clapton has the ability to play and participate in various other types of music real good,! From the latin rock of Santana, the (i don't know what) from John Mier, the deep blues of BB King, the music of JJ Cale, he just amazed me with the different types of music that he is proficient in!And now he is one of my favorite guitar players of all time!!

Eric Clapton for me is one of the greatest blues guitar player. Eric Clapton can bend your knees and make you cry in just one note. Enough about Eric, Blues Music will always be in my heart. As a musician, a guitarist, most of my licks comes from blues and the feeling I get really takes me to other places and give me sensation.... similar to be in the highest state..... Nirvana..... music affects your soul..... and for me..... NO MUSIC..... NO LIFE!

Yes, I still listen to blues! I like listening to different blues artists in general, but my favorite blues singer and guitar player is none other than Stevie Ray Vaughan -- this guy truly had talent, heart, and soul in his playing and singing!! :)

I just LOVE Eric Clapton. Another of my favorites from his era is Carlos Santana. Theloneous Monk was fantastic in his day. My hubby introduced me to the Blues & I'm so thankful he did. I started by going to the local library & checkin out any Blues CD they had. In listenin to 1, there would be somebody else playing with them. Next visit to the library I would check out the new found person's CD & it rolled from there. My boss laughed at me daily because of my new found excitement of old artists. He found it funny I was just discoverin great music. Have you ever listened to Ronnie Laws?
