Is it worth buying the Playstation 3 now?

I'd be inclined to wait a little while yet until the prices settle down and the supply increases. These have been going for very silly prices on eBay lately and I really don't think it is worth spending out a load of money on another games console just yet. I reckon that by early summer the price will have settled down and the games will be more readily available too

I would definitally wait a little longer, I think that there will be a big price reduction near Christmas time, which isnt soon, but it will be a lot cheaper. My friend bought one the day it came our ( he was #1 in line ) and he tryed to sell it...but now I think he plays it, doesnt think it was worth all the money. Best of luck to you! I think that its not worth buying playstation 3 now because its very expensive from my point of view in addition her price is going to have a price reduction in the next months so i would stay in order to buy it in the future, have a nice day on mylot.

If I were you I'll wait until will become cheaper ... in the end there are not very much games now

you should perhaps wait till the christmas season because there is bound to have some special promotion or bundled with games and/or accessories. plus, great titles coming out somewhere oct-dec

I've got a PS3 and I love it. But I think you should wait for a while cause now there are talks of a $100 price cut.

I dont' think it is worth buying it at all. Why not save your money and play games ont he computer instead? Lining the pockets of these big companies will do us no good at all. go out and enjoy the sunshine instead of wasting your life playing games.

The Playstation 3 was only released officially here in Ireland last Friday 23rd March. My brother pre-booked his one before last xmas and put a deposit on it. The shops opened Thursday night at midnight to sell them. My brother was one of the first in the queue to get his. He was guaranteed one but wanted to make sure he got a good game for it. He likes it but I'm sure here will get tired of it after awhile. ALot of people where complaining about them on Friday, saying they had to bring them back to the shop because they were over heating and freezing as soon as it started up. I personally wouldn't pay 700euro for one. The prices will drop soon enough because from what I heard there wasnt as many people queuing to get their hands on one as the shops thought there would be.
