Earnings question! (Now I feel like a newbie)..

Well, I've been here for a long time and this is just my first time to ask about earnings.
I think mylot's been playing games with me, because I've responded to almost my usual number -which is more or less around 30 discussions. And this is the first time that I received a measly 0.21 cents, to think that I did my very best to make my posts with good quality responses.
I also responded on some newbie discussions, asking about how can they improve their earnings. And I never knew that I would be asking this type of question to all of you, I feel like some kind of a newbie here!:(
BTW, I also know how mylot pays us.
All I'm saking is, why I earned so low today? The number of my posts are still the same, and that I don't see any of the discussions that I previously responded get deleted. Does anybody here knows the reason why?
Thanks in advance..

I have noticed the same thing over the past month. I always post at least 30 responses a day some days I make real good , others I make half. I think I have found the reason, just by checking this all out. This is not written in stone, but I did find I make at least .01 per post when I am posting to those with an 8 or above on their star. The way I found this out was one day I posted 30 to all 8,9, and 10's, I received .56. The next day I posted to only newbies or those with a very low star and I only made .27. So now I am thinking the stars do have a significance.

Well, your not alone - my profile says it was updated 44 minutes ago and I earned nothing. I counted and I did 25 responses, all quality ones, started a discussion (10 responses already), and uploaded a photo - I got nothing at all. Going to give them a couple hours, maybe it's just a glitch but if that's the case, that I didn't earn anything for all that work I don't think I'll be on mylot much.

Oh I would appreciate that - I'm not going to contact them for a bit but so far "nothing" and it's been an hour. I'm just going to hang around and see what's going on.

This can happen sometimes for no apparent reason, the next day may compensate you with higher than usual earnings, it happened to me before, I wouldn't worry unless it continues for several days, but generally speaking mylot rewards quality and I'm sure that your posting never lost any quality so it might be just fluctuations in mylot system and your earnings rate will be back to normal soon :)

Hi raijin,
I earned just about 32 cents as well and i've made more responses for march 25. Which i made last night and this morning. I even had I think about 3 discussions or I think I made 5 as the topics just come as they please. Is that your usual pay for a set of 30 discussions + your started topics? Because sometimes I think the do cleanups over the weekends. You know, delete some discussions here and there. That's why no matter how much the effort you put in responding to discussions, it wont matter. No matter how many have you responded too- it still won't matter, because they delete some topics and the responses that went along with it. And if you responded to some deleted discussion- then your earnings are also deducted. Sad to say but thats how they work here. Maybe just try to choose the topics you respond to- don't bother replying to celebration posts like "yay i reached 100!, i earned a lot! im new here welcome me..." stuffs like that because they are eventually deleted. Try not responding to jokes as well as they may get deleted- unless the joke has something substantial to talk about and there is a discussion topic in it. That is why sometimes, I'm careful in making or starting topics because im afraid they just might get deleted. Are you sure none of the discussions you responded to got deleted? if so- may i suggest you- monitor the number of posts you make before logging out. Then upon your next login- like the next day for example- check your post numbers if they decreased in some way- if they did, then some got deleted. Don't worry ok? maybe tommorow your uncredited efforts will be carried over. have a nice day...

Well I've read about how we earn and how mylot delete some topics and earning deductions. This is the first time that I received such a low earning, and that I find it unfair for my part because the numbers of my posts are the same. Which means, I never responded to any type of topic that was deleted or removed by mylot admin.
Anyways, thanks for the time and effort catcai..
I appreciate it!;)

Actually I'm a newbie here and been having this kind of questions and also seeing it every where, what i learned is if you respond to discussions a few hours before the earnings update time (4 -5 hours or more) they don't get counted and the roll up to the next day, so maybe your next day earnings will see a raise for posts that was not counted yet.
Other than that it doesn't seem to be any fixed rules for how we get credited for our posts, what works for some is not working for others, maybe mylot admin have a very complected and variable system to reward earnings so no one will learn how to cheat it.
Anyway, i hope your earnings will be back to normal tomorrow :)

I have been here for 3 days, and yesterday I had a total of 200 posts, which means 100 each day, and I got about 1.00$ each day. Today I did 150 posts ( im addicted ) so we shall see...im sure you will get your earnings soon, I hear that they have been busy with upgrades!! Cant wait to see what that is!

All the money you get depends on the value of discussions responses you make and not on the number of the ones you respond ao dont panic try to do it the smarter way than the harder way

Good day to you my friend!;)
Well, I don't usually start a post of my own to which I know is of less quality and I don't want to flood my driends discussion list with nonsense topics. So I prefer to respond in which I know is much more easier to earn, and I think the reputation shows. It's obvious, I do things to which you think is hard, but for me this is the much easier and smarter way!LoL

I also have seen the same difference in mylot payouts. I have recentely returned to mylot and have noticed that they are paying way less than what they used to pay before.

The money on Mylot is less these days. It's not you. they just are not paying us so much as they used to and it seems to get less every month.

hi! a quick question... when you made your usual 30 posts, did you make it around your usual time with mylot? if not, then the cut-off time is probably the cause.
another thing is probably because of the time difference, there would seem like a delay sort of in the update of the earnings. i also heard from one mylotter that posts made 4-5 hours before the scheduled update might be credited to the next day's earnings. that would seem like a double delay somewhat coz that would mean update 2 days after.
in view of the significance of responding to discussion of mylotters with 8-10 star ratings to their name compared to newbies or lower star ratings... i think, it's probably because mylotters with higher star ratings tend to really give ratings to responses in their discussions compared to newbies. so in effect, we probably get more (+) ratings from them too. star ratings reflect the quality of responses, i think they also have bearings on the earnings too, because as many have said, we earn from the quality posts we make.
i haven't experienced yet a decrease in earnings. sometimes i get more than what i'm expecting because i only average about 10 posts (sometimes between 3-12 only) a day on good days, and i haven't really uploaded pictures, only once. but i get around 25-65 cents on the average. i couldn't track the difference because i sign in at mylot at different times too.
some also say that if your discussion has more than 10 responses, it can increase your earnings too.
hope this helps. :)

Hi rajin!! thanks for the info. I'm just a 2 hour old MyLot member and what an impression it is for me to hear about your case. If this would be the case and My Lot has no response as to why those earnings are low, i won't even bother logging to this community again, ever. If what they've offered is untrue.

Dont worry, you'll probably get it in a few days. I remember awhile back I made about 100 posts. I only got about 5 cents. I was so angry. A few days later I got like $2. You'll get it! Hang in there.

Sometimes I also notice that there are days that I earn less than I expected because I replied a lot and started discussions too. But there are also days that I earn a bit more than I expected. When I look at the dates that I earned more, it's usually the day after I got earnings less than I expected. So I'm thinking that maybe it's the time difference. Just a guess on my part.

I always try to make an exact count of my posts, I think it's the best thing to do here. By this, I know my exact number of posts and assume the amount that I would earn.
This is the only time that my calculations went wrong, and I thank you for sharing your experiences with us all..
