New Things

I, too, posted in mylot's discussion about the promising upgrades and would love to see spell check and emoticons. Being able to type in color would be nice as well. Sure would make mylot more colorful. Pay raise would be nice as well but not as important for me as spell check/color type would be as I'm here more for the discussions than payment. I'm betting a new server would be the main part of this upgrade. Every day I log in and notice the users have gone up in leaps and bounds.

I have lots of things that I want to see done here. One thing is I would like a way to delete all the private messages here at one time instead of haveing to do it 1 at a time. I'd also like to be able to see how people rate a response. Like it could tell beside the answer 9/15 meaning that 9 people out of 15 like the answer. Or 2/13 meaning that only 2 liked the answer. I think that would help us improve, that way we could see how many people liked each answer & which ones most found un-helpfull. I would really like to see this one added: Instead of havein to add them as a friend in order to send/receive a message, you just have to approve them as a "safe sender" Alot of times, we add someone as a friend just so that we can send them a message with our email so they can invite us to join another program or so we can ask them for a link to another site (since we arent suppose to post affiliate links, some people wont do it) We should still have our friends list so that we can added people who start good discussions but also have a Safe Sender list. I think another great thing to add would be spell checker & maybe a grammer checker too (if the spell checker didnt pick up the grammer) sometiems when im typing my mind works faster then my fingers & what i end up typeing makes no sence at all. Not to mention I am a horrable speller:) They should add some of the emotion icon smilies too. Ok, just one last thing. When you send a friend request, you should have to add a comment in your request that says: I want to be friends with you because..... I think if people had to put a reason down, there wouldnt be so many people on here that haven't responded to or started any discussions but have over 700 friends & maybe it would stop these people who send everyone that they find a friend request. Well, those are some of my ideas to make mylot better but I dont think any of them will be in the upgrade. It will probably just be something that is useless.

Hey Grandpa Bob and good morning to you. I'm actually really curious about the upgrade. It must be good for them to announce it before just doing it, as per normal. I am almost certain they are going to put in a spellcheck or editing portion, as so many have requested. I think different type colors would be great as well. I will agree that an improved server would do wonders for the site. I can't wait to see what's in store. Happy posting to you as well.

I hope for some fun stuff like smilies and colors. And of course a pay raise to lol. The community has gotten large so i really hope this isnt some sort of a exageration or they will have some angry people. I just want to see this site made funner since there are not many sites like this one. I have seen one other and i didnt like it at all.

a pay rise would be great,i would like to see spell check and the ability to buy referrals,if somone signs up and they didnt go through someone ref link then mylot can put them through someones ref. do you understand what i mean

Of course a pay raise! In addition to font colors, I'd like to see the ability for bold and/or italicized fonts. How about emoticons! And a more detailed, understandable explanation of the payout system, and a real-time update of your earnings.

i'm very concerned with pay raise. i hope it's part of the upgrade. :) i also hope for a much faster server. slow server eats most of my time that's why i can't post as much as i want to.

yes, i am pretty curious about it, what kind of upgrade would it be? i hope its an upgrade on how they compute our points so that we can get higher amount of money.. hehe.. lol

Well, I guess a new and faster server would be the first thing I would like. MyLot is so slow sometimes, and needs an upgrade now there are so many users. I also agree that a delete/edit function would be great! I have yet again pressed the wrong button, and posted something twice in another discussion, - it just looks so stupid, and I would love to be able to delete it. I guess emoticons would be fun too - though not a priority in my view. But faster server - PLEASE!!!!

yeah i can't wait either ... I am very curious I am not sure about the colors though, I would fear that some people might abuse of it - not you grandpa! ;-) - and that their answers might just become a hard-to-read rainbow of colors I would love the emoticons though ... like someone mentionned but I guess the same could happen if overused An increase in earnings would be great as well even if we re not here for the money, it is always a nice perk! ... well time will tell

All improvements will be a welcoming change I am sure. I would really like to be able to go back and edit this is one thing that has bothered me from the start. I hate seeing some thing I posted knowing I miss spelled or did not get my point across and not being able to change it.

I personally am very curious about this huge upgrade. There are so many ways in which Mylot can improve even though it's already running well - apart from the glitches. But this upgrade must have them feeling very confident if they're announcing it before it's even been put into effect. An editing option would be good for us - heck I've typed in so many responses and then realized there's like a million and one typos lol. I know a lot of people would be hoping for a spellcheck. I have to say thats not something that really bothers me so much, because I use Mozilla Firefox anyway, and it has an inbuilt Spellcheck anyway. I think we are also all hoping for a pay raise, but somehow I don't see that happening. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows? The font color is a great idea!! I hate having to capitalize a word to emphasize it, when I could just use a different color. I await this upgrade with bated breath lol.

I can't imagine what the upgrade would be. I guess I would like some sort of index in order to look up subjects that have been posted in the past. The interests category is rather general. I would also like to get credit for responding to people who post on my discussions! I like the idea of some more back and forth type of interaction. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what it will be. Thanks for the discussion!

Good mornin Grandpa Bob! I think that would be great if we could use different colors to type with. It would definitely stand out more. We don't have alot of opportunities for individuality here. Of course we are looking for a pay raise LOL. Who isn't? I am still new here so I haven't had the opportunity to make any formed opinions yet. But thanks for starting this discussion.

I for one, would like an increase in easrnings. If My Lot could come up with a way of rewarding people who start decent discussions, compared to all the one liners, I think that would be very beneficial. Maybe they could have a photo competition. Yes, I agree a move to a far more powerful server is urgently needed.

I'd love love love a spell check! Sure it seems small00 but I'd love it! Also how about an ignore button! For the people who really annoy us-- or follow us around.. Ignore would save alot of stress.. More money would also be good- But then again I'm happy with that too- I think the site is great for paying us for our opinions- How many other sites do this? I can't wait to find out what the changes are... or upgrade!

i hope to see some editing options and spell/grammar check for sure!:) color would be an extra feature but i don't have any problem with that anyhow:) i wish to see more enhanced filtering system on mylot as it's very annoying to read short, useless and oneliner posts now and then. well that's the list of what i m hoping to see:) but i think the major change would be in the form of a new styling of the main site(i m not sure how it is going to look) and there would be more color on the homepage!:)

I can't believe that they sent us that alert this about the new upgrade coming. Now that they have caught everyone's attention we all have to wait and see what the change will be. Spell check would be so nice, the colors for the fonts. i don't think that they will allow us to edit our discussions tho because then the discussion could change from response to response. Maybe if they allow us to edit before any one posts a response that could be....And yes being able to delte PM's all at once would be good and Oh and did I forget the pay raise?

I wish too that we can edit our posts, but I would also like a link that takes you directly to comments you've made instead of wading through pages of others comments before you find your own.

Yeah, we'll received the message about upgrade. I'm eager to see that change. While, what will it be about? The space of the page? The style? Or some other things? I'm imagining what mylot will be like after this upgrade. Just like you, I also think the color in mylot is not very good, and not striking. I agree with you to type in a different color. Changes will bring novelty, and may appeal more memebers, that's good. Anyhow, I think the most important thing each mylot member cares about is whether we can earn more after the upgrade? I hope so.
