if you could build on to your home and make an extra room what would you make? a bedroom, livingroom, bathroom, sitting room, game room etc? why would you choose that? what kind of stuff would you want in it? who would you share it with or would you?
personally i would want a room to put all the books, board games, arts and crafts, and kids home school stuff in. i would want to have shelves after shelves in it. one wall with nothing on it so we could hang stuff that the kids do. a big table for us all to sit at and do arts and crafts.
another space my hubbies hobbies to be in and a place for him to do them.

we used to have a pool table right in the living room, a 10 footer, but when I got pregnant with my second I made my guy take it out. We never used it anyway, and it just sat there as a place to put things. But I didnt want to be the girl that said he couldnt have one if he wanted one, but I needed room for the new baby. We also have a poker table that folds down. That saves space.
I might have to change my answer now, because we still have all that stuff and that sounds like a cool room.

I would want a game room. I live in a two bedroom/two bathroom condo and I have plenty of room, but I would love to have a game room. I would want a seperate bedroom big enough to have a pool table and a dart board. Obviously you can't add on to a 2nd floor condo, but if I could, that's what I would want. I would also have a small bar there so people could drink and play games in there! that would be awesome!!

Gosh where do I start....well first choice would be to build an extra storey onto my tiny house and in that we would have an en-suite bedroom for mother and father. Then second choice which I know should be first choice would be to build on to our tiny kitchen and make it big enough for a large table and 6 chairs, with a bathroom off it also. By doing this we could make a bigger living room. Basically I would like to knock down my 70 sq metre house and build a 130 sq metre one in its place!

I would build on a gym/spa combination. I would love to have an in-home gym to work out in. Just a few necessities and some free weights, bike, and combo gym would be very awesome. A hot tub would also be a nice addition for just chilling and relaxing.

I think I would want an playroom. I would love to put all the kids toys in one big room . They could play in there all day. Then when they get older turn it into a game room . Put a pool table, dart board, ect. I would want to put down colored carpet with yellow walls. Maybe something out of the 60's. Great question you came up with. Makes you really think . Thankyou.

I would actually build a backyard lol. We live in a condo, and we do have a yard. But the association states that we cannot have it fenced in. Well that doesnt help much with taking my dog to the bathroom, or if I want to let my daughter play outside. I think it's stupid on the associations parrt, and I will never buy another property without a fenced in yard.

Adding square footage will up the value of your home. The more you can add with little cost is the better. If I could add to my house I would add a huge great room that I could use for entertainment purposes. I would love to have a room large enough that I could put a pool table in it and have a bar and put the big screen tv we have in it. We just built a room to around our spa which is really nice. Make sure you check out the any contracter you use. Make sure they have insurance and are licensed and bonded. Just because they say they are doesn't mean squat. Get the license number and call and check with the county. We have a lot of frauds here that have been scamming people. My husband and the guys in the neighborhood all do that kind of work and our neighbor is a construction lawyer and gets us all the permits we need.

If I owned the buliding I currently live in I would make loads of changes. For starters I would pave the driveway instead of having a dirt driveway, well muddy driveway in the spring. I would add a grassy area up against the back of the building so the tenants have a place to put a picnic table and a grill or 2 to have a cook out if t hey want to.
For my part of the building I would add 1 extra room and it would be a bedroom for my son, so he can come back and live with us again.
I would also add an extra bedroom to my bestfriends appartment so her daughet can have her own room instead of sharing one with her brothers.

I would love to have a games room, where I could have like a snooker table, with a bar next to it, and a darts game and a cards table.
Just for whenever I have got some of my friends or family over, we could all retreat there and have some fun.
Hey, I could even teach my wife to play darts and snooker...

I think that it would be a bathroom. Not just any bathroom, it would be one with a bookcase by the toilet filled with books that my hubby & I read while otherwise occupied. The bathtub would be large enough to hold a big person, almost spa like. There would also be a shower that would have really powerful jets that would shoot water from multiple directions. The mirrors would be made to never fog. The windows would be so that I could see out but no one could see in, and they would be over looking a great flowerbed. There would be enough cabinet space to hold all the toiletries. The toilet paper roll would be self loading, and the entire bathroom, self-cleaning. But the most important aspect of it all would be that children would never want to go in there. (No, really, I haven't given this much thought! lol)

I'd build a Soundproof meditation room. A place where I can escape to to meditate and pray.
I'd have things such as Candles, incense, and essential oil burners, bean bags, and also comfortable chairs to be used in meditation. I'd also have a CD Player in order to play relaxing music.
In this day and age, it's so hard to find a place thats quiet. I usually meditate up in the mountains by a lake, but in the winter, the trail is impassable due to a ski run crossing right across it, and the snow being knee deep and more.
A room just for me to escape to for peace and quiet would be awesome.

Oh man, we need a lot of rooms here. lol. Starting with a couple more bedrooms and another bathroom.
However for a dream room, it would be an extra kitchen. I'd like to start a business from home, but you pretty much need a seperate kitchen for it.
I also like the idea of the home gym too. I almost think we could renovate the basement for that though. IF there is ever any extra money.

I'd like a bigger kitchen. Or a laundry room.
I'd probably go for some kind of office so that we could move the desk out of the dining room space and have a bit of a dining room.
Actually, I think I just need an entirely new place.

We have already designed an addition for my husband's electronic equipment and large screen television to be his santuary from my mother-in-law and I (LOL). We call it the Media Zoo, he calls it his den. It will be off the dining room on the other side of the house thru 2 french doors and it will be bliss once its finished!

If I could I'd make in my office. It would be so nice to work in a separate room where I could just close the door and not be interrupted every 5 minutes. I'd put the computer and my desk and stuff in there. I'd probably also put all my scrapbooking stuff onto a couple of shelves in there to get it more organized. I'd have to have another bookcase as well. I have 4 of them right now and still haven't got enough room for all the books I own... LOL..

it would have French Door out to a open deck, so I guess it would be a garden room with plants, music and lots of books

I'd build my own watchtower!I just think it would be fun to be able to look into my pesky neighbors' yard and then throw them an A-bomb when they're all gathered to ensure maximum hits...just kidding!Even I cannot be that cruel.
