ANNOYING things that WAKE YOU out of a SOUNG SLEEP ??

So we all have ways that we can't stand to be woken up, myself I get up very early in the morning to make breakfast for my boyfriend and get our son out the door in time for work and then most times I will go back to bed around 6:30 am and take a nap for few hours and you would think I would learn that this is impossible to get uninterrupted sleep since our phone always starts ringing at 8:00 am with WRONG PHONE numbers. The wrong phone numbers don't bother me but the fact that they wake me up bothers me. Do you have anything done to you that wakes you on the wrong side of the bed?

I have never been able to sleep during the day because there is so much noise going on. At night the one thing that will wake me up and make me so ill is a dog barking. It is like it gets in my head and then I wake up and I swear it stops after I wake up! During the day the one thing that bothers me the most is construction, if I am in a deep sleep then someone starts hammering I am immediately awake and ill. I always turn my ringers off on the phone when trying to catch a nap, I let the answering machine catch the calls, then I can check the machine when I wake up.

Awww good for you to turn off the phone, our phone does not have that option and then once the ringing becomes part of my dream I can not answer the phone, thinking it is one of my children or my boyfriend needing something. Thanks for contributing

ANYthing wakes me up from a sound sleep! I'm a very light sleeper, and the slightest noise has me up in seconds. It's extremely annoying, especially since my roommate isn't a very considerate person and will bang around at early hours of the morning.

i woke up this morning on the wrong side of the bed because my kitten went into heat last night and just walked around the house meowing. I know I should have gotten her fixed months ago but the extra 150 bucks for my vet to do it hasn't really been there. now i am sitting here tryin to work and she is laying on my bed fast asleep...GRRRRR

I know what you mean, been there before, you might contact your local humane society they offer that service at a lower discounted price than what your vet is offering, until then read one of my jokes about that same thing to get a smile on your face today. This is good. I am a night owl. I also don't sleep more than 3 or so hours daily. I am also a VERY sound sleepr. I recall once living in an apartment complex. There was a small stove fire a couple apts. down the hall. I never heard the firetrucks. My wife had to shake the daylights out of me to get me up. So there isn't anything at all that can wake me from a sound sleep except my family i think. Hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Goodness that is sound sleeping. My son once slept through a hurricane that came through town, the eye of the storm went right over our house, he never even knew what happened until the next morning when I told him. Thanks for contributing

I hate it when the dogs bark & wake me up, I hate it when the cat starts poking at me, I hate phone calls, especially wrong numbers. In fact, I just generally hate to be awaken by anything but my alarm or the roomies when its time to get up.

The phone ringing is the most annoying way to wake up! I dont care who it is, if its not an emergency, dont call me before 9am. I am a stay at home mom, and my son doesnt get up until around 9:30am, and I get up with him, dont know what I am gonna do when he starts school, but I have a while before that happens.

It is very rare for me to get interrupted during sound sleep other than a loud thunderstorm. That is usually the only thing that wakes me up as I do not hear very much when I am sleeping well. I usually keep my phone off when I am sleeping so that I do not get disturbed. Some of the nightmares that I have had wake me up as well.

Oh yeah, The wonderful blaring alarm that goes through my house from my sons basement bedroom at 5:45am ,which he doesn't get up to turn off. I am 2 stories away from it and it wakes me right away. It will blare for 45 minutes. So,I get up and go all the way down there and turn it off. Needless to say I don't respond to it very well. He's actually gotten better now, when he hears me coming down the basement steps he jumps up to turn it off! Still doesn't do me any good because he waits until I'm coming down the BASEMENT STEPS. Isn't that great!

Well, there's few things that can wake me, i sleep through storms, lightning hitting the house and giving it an explosion feeling and sound (Yep done it 2ice) Air hornes, screaming, fire, fire alarms, alarm clocks, the works, but there's a couple of things that will wake me in a second. When i have a baby beside me, i hear a slight change in breathing and i wake up, a little noise, all the way to a full blown cry. Kittens and puppies, i hear anything different, from the ones that are already here and i'm up, and if there's none, i hear a sound, and i'm awake looking for the new babe. Radio Music, Okay, here's something i CAN'T STAND!!! One of my roomies sleeps in the basement right below us. He has this thing about setting his alarm to radio so he can listen to it in the morning as he gets up, well it always wakes me up, I hate it, i really can't stand it, and it always starts my day off just rotten. He's learning though, i haven't heard it for a couple of weeks, maybe i can keep it this way :P

I used to play in a rock band and while touring our vocalist would sometimes wake us up playing acoustic guitar and singing loudly in the morning. I love music, but sleep is precious in the morning.

I have to confess that I also hate being woken up, alot of the time it is by the telephone, and when you answer and try to tell them you will call them back because you are sleeping, they say well you are up now, and keep talkingI also have been woken up by Jehovah's witnesses comming to the door to convince me of their religion, as well as the power and gas companies that are comming to read the meter. A lot of the time it is before 9 am and I am left to wonder if they don't realize that perhaps sometimes people are sleeping. I also don't like it when people stop by that early in the morning, be it meter readers or the neighbour, and when you don't get out of bed to answer the door, they continue to ring the door bell for up to 15 minutes. I mean really, if I haven't answered the door after the first 3 rings, what makes you believe that I am home, much less that I will be answering the door at that hour of the morning? I also hate when it is my turn to sleep in and my hubby allows the kids to come in and wake me up because they "have to tell me something" thankfully for them, they usually can see if I am cranky and respond with an "I Love You"

i'm actually used to waking in the middle of the night to attend to my hungry baby...but I was really annoyed when my eldest son, about 2 yrs. old, shouted his heart out in the middle of the night and everyone got up and was very worried and when i finally had the chance to ask my son what was the matter, he just said..."I saw NANAY (grandma)leaving out of the house and I run after her but she didnt hear me...thats why i cried so she can hear me..." I was really annoyed when he told me that but it melted my heart upon realizing how much my son loves his grandma...

It's always the loud talk of either my parents or brother and sister that wakes me up. Sometimes, however, it's my own worries and tensions brewing in my mind about the things I need to do after I wake up that DO wake me up.

What woke me at about 2am this morning was a group of students chatting, laughing and shouting loudly. This really makes me angry, because there is no need to make so much noise at that time in the morning when they must know most people are a sleep and have to get up bright and early for work in the morning. Unlike the students who have the luxury of staying in bed until the afternoon.
