Has spring finally sprung up where you are?

Old Man Winter - beautiful in his own rite, perhaps cousin spring is just as sweet too!

Here in Pennsylvania I think spring has finally won over and taken the front seat to old man winter! While I'm usually not all that excited to see my favorite time of year end, I have to agree that this 60+ degree weather with open windows and warm breezes is wonderful! What's it like where you are and where are you at? Do you think old man winter has gone to bed?

I will be spring cleaning this weekend opening all the windows i love the smell in the spring. This year although it did not really snow that often my cabin fever has been crazy.

I agree... for some reason it just feels so good today!!! LOL I have to confess, I think we had the almost perfect mix of winter this year. It reminded me of bygone days where we had great sledding, ice fishing, ice skating and all the fun stuff outdoors we thrived for! We've had years here on Lake Erie that we didn't even get a full freeze across the lake!!!! It was horrible! Too cold to actually go do anything, not enough snow to enjoy anything and just simply stuck indoors! So this year was great for us here!

I live in Delaware, not too far from you and am experiencing the same spring like weather as you are having. I too think that spring has taken over finally and hope the warm and pleasant weather continues. I do not want constantly changing temperatures as I usually get sick so hope it stays like this for a while. It actually may be warmer here this week than in Texas where I will be the rest of this week.

Oh you're cheating by moving farther south! LOL It is beautiful to experience isn't it? No matter what season you love, spring gives a feeling of freshness and new starts.

I always look forward to the spring season and feeling the warmer air, watching the flowers grow and being able to enjoy the outdoors more.

Spring has definitely come to Chicagoland! It has been in the 70's for a few days now and the rest of the week looks good, too. It felt great to head out for the day without a heavy coat, hat, & gloves, that's for sure! The only down side -- I'm not at all sure that my winter body is quite ready for the light clothes of spring and summer! :O)

Well I'm an hour south of Erie so my weather is the same as yours...lol. I LOVE it. I have the windows open and I'm airing the house out. The only thing I hate is that it has rained so much that is a muddy mess. The dog drags the mud in and so do the kids. I sure hope the snow has stopped. I enjoyed this winter. It was nice...there were some bad days just like there should be in the winter. It snowed enough that I wasn't disappointed but didn't snow enough to make me hate the stuff...lol.

I agree mom2! We seemed to get an almost perfect mix of winter this year! I just came in from out back and it is a mess... the dogs were running around out there and came in full of mud! UCK. But I won't complain... it feels soooooo wonderful! What a great way to celebrate my daughter's 18th!

I had my first tast of Spring on Sunday. I had travelled to the South of Ireland with my husband as he had some work to do there. The sun was shining throughout the journey but unfortunatley I was stuck in the car all day as it was a long drive. While I was waiting for him to finish work yesterday, I was able to sit in the park for an hour, just basking in the glorious sunshine. To-day was equally as nice, though the evenings are still quite chilly. The weather forecast is the same for the rest of the week, so I am hoping to get some gardening done. I hope old man winter has finally gone to bed.

For us, winter is over, but spring has been very, very wet. We've had record rainfalls on a couple of days. It's nicer out now, but it's kind of hard on the kdis - schools had Spring Break last week, and it poured rain all week. They're back in session this week, and it's nice out.

The last few days I have ditched MyLot for the 70 plus degree weather! We've been to the park, on walks and sitting on my in-law's porch. Things are looking green! But, this is just the Iowa tease as I like to call it. Already the weather reports of the chance of tempatures plumeting back to the 30's! My kids have had a taste of summer freedom and it will be hard to convince them that they still might have to wear their winter coats again! :( Still spring brings with it the hope of getting out of the house and long walks, picnics, sunburns, going to the pool, camping ... I could go on and on!

Yep, I think spring is sprung here in Michigan, too. It's been shorts weather (70 or better) the last few days and I'm already itching to get my garden going. I've already got the fertilizer(read chicken poop here) spread, and my father in law is supposed to come over with his rototiller sometime soon. We live out in the country, surrounded on 3 sides by fields, and the last week there's been tractors at all hours of the day and night, fertilizing and disking and the smell is pretty bad! but I think if the farmers are already getting the fields going, I might try my garden earlier than usual this year.

Yesterday was 79F and today 76F ...yes he has gone we are forecasted to have slighter cooler weather and a little bit of rain by the end of the week, I hope so but as long as the humidity stays away I am quite happy.

My area doesn't have seasons, as we are usually warm year round. We have a very long growing season in Southern California. The only problem this year we had a freeze, so fruit is very costly here.

Oh yes, the weather here in southeastern wisconsin the past 2 days has been in the high 70's which is very rare for this time of the year, but we arent complaining here.

Recently I've seen some of the best weather since a long time ago. I live on the West Coast so I guess our temperatures are mild. The only problem with winter is that instead of loads of snow, we get alot of rain and very few days where the ground is actually dry. Spring has come for where I live.

Hi! We are also getting the 60 to 70 degree weather and can hear the birds sing when we open the doors or windows. We have also had our first rain showers. For me, it's not really spring yet until the doves come. :-) We have turtle doves and they return to our property every year to nest and have their babies. It's usually the tree right outside the dining room window. They are such sweet birds, they just chortle and coo and don't hurt anything or anyone. Their babies are so cute, too. I don't think I've seen any doves yet, but when I do, I'll know spring is really here! :-)
