What item breaking, has the biggest negative impact on you?

It bugs me when my cable goes out. It really annoys me when I have car problems. When the power goes out, I worry about the fridge keeping everything fresh. Just this past weekend my dryer quit working and it is raining outside, so my clothes are hanging over all the chairs in the house. The worst thing is my computer will not turn on at all, so I am using my mother's laptop for a few minutes. Tell me, when which certain items breaks or malfunction do you get really upset, really worried, or sent into a tailspin? : )

I think the worst thing not working for me would be my computer. My computer is my company through the day and evening, it is where I chat to my friends and how I find out what is going on in the 'real world'. Without it I am lost and bored and always looking for something to do.

I don't like any electrical item stops working. But what upsets me most it's when there is an unexpected water shortage (cleaning water tanks, for an example).

I don't have an ipod, but if I ever had one, I KNOW I'd get attached to it.

Me neither. Humans are harder to fix than any machine.

I think my coffee pot! I would not be able to survive without my coffee! Although, you do make a strong argument for the washer and dryer. I think if those went out on me, I would have serious problems! I get really upset and worried!

for me, I don't really worry about when things break down. It doesn't upset me, although it is an inconvenience - like when the power went out on our block one hour before I had a whole group of guests arriving. We had to move the party to another person's house. The worst is when my car breaks down. I have to miss work (cannot bus) and it's a pain to get it fixed.

For me the things what can have biggest negative impact on me are my computer and car. One month back our car had a problem and until we fix the problem it was like owrse time for us. For now fortunately my computer is working fine. But I can remember once proccesor of this computer was not working and when we gave it to fix they took little long. Ohh those days were so long for me like never ending day without my computer lol. Also power cut may cause a big problem for me. As without power I can't use my computer, there will be no TV, food in the fridge will go bad and most importantly I would not be able to cook. We use heater to cook.

Sometimes I wonder how people handled day to day life years and years ago before all our gadgets we have today. I'm spoiled to be born in this techno age and I don't mind saying it!

You have just voiced everything that bugs me when it goes out. I think the worst is when the power goes out though. I worry about the food in the freezer, and I get very grouchy if the power goes out when I am on the computer. LOL

I forgot to mention the air conditioning! When the power goes out in 85 degree weather plus humidity - only a computer could take my mind off of the heat, but it would be of no use, just like you said.

I freak out when my internet connection gets wonky. As in seriously freaking out. I mean, I cannot believe I got so used to being able to connect with other people out there! Take away the internet from me and I am climbing the walls! LOL!

My biggest frustration is when I struggle to lg onto the internet and once I'm on, every now and then I get the screen that says "can't open this page". Then I have to retry or go out of internet and go in again, and so forth. I struggled again tonight but this time i perservered a bit longer than usual and now things are going well. I'm from the old school that did not grow up with computers and I get frustrated with this thing very easely.

I started using a computer at 15 and I think my frustration for computer foul ups is still the same today as it was 11 years ago. LOL

All things that annoys u annoys me too. But I will never stop my work as I will take different route.ie., If my cable goes down i switch over to my Radio which is non stop. By the god grace my scooter is very good to me, if it has a problem it shows up quickly but will not stop untill mechanic shop comes. It all goes who seriouly we depend on the man made materails. Take it lightly, You thing that u are in some 18 th century and on tv is there for some time untill u r power comes back, in this time you will get something good and interesting to time pass.

I am lost without my computer. Often ask myself what I did before I had a pc and broadband. I use my pc for music through I Tunes, I chat to family and friends via msn or online chat rooms, plan trips and book holidays with it, even work from home using it so its almost like loosing an arm if it doesnt work!

My drier breaking wouldn't really bother me too bad because I can always hang dry them my washer now it would send me in a tailspin, I hate washing clothes out by hand I have done it many years and I don't want to have to do it any more. My cable wouldn't really bother me either because I rarely watch it. It only gets turned on by my husband for about 2 hours a day I don't think we really even need cable for the 45.00 we are paying for it. The worst thing that can go done for me is my phone and computer.. That would send me into a worried upset tailspin..lol I am addicted to my computer and phone it is my link to the world around me. I have no car or do I get out much so without my phone and computer I would go stark raving mad...lol just kidding but I would seriously have a problem..

Nope no wireless. Wished I had wireless but I have dial up. I would love to get a laptop with wireless that would be the best ever thing for me to get but I wish they didn't charge so much for them, Well thanks.

You have legitimate reasons to be upset if that happened. Hopefully if the phone or computer breaks, neither will do it at the same time. Unless you don't have wireless, then your computer wouldn't be of any good anyway. Forgot about that.

When my computer used to break down, that would be most annoying & frustrating for me. It doesn't happen anymore as our computer is a good one. At the moment, my mobile phone is doing weird things, ; it's not exactly broken down, but it wont send prperly.

Oh goodness, I guess I could name one, but it seems whichever one is busted is the one I need at that time. We went 3 weeks with no electricity after a hurricane. We had nothing, no lights, no stove, washer, etc. I gained a new respect for my ancestors those three weeks, but at the same time, I had some grand times getting to know my neighbors and spending quiet time with my husband just talking and playing Yahtzee.

I think my refrigerator would be the worst thing that could break! I've had a washer and a dryer go out, and I just haul my laundry to one of my four kid's homes, and borrow theirs. My computer would come in a very close second!!

the two biggest have to be the dryer and the fridge. they're both expensive to fix,and expensive to replace. plus when the fridge breaks down you may lose all your food,so you have to add that in also.

I would be compelely lost without my cell phone, if i even leave it in the car I have to go back for it. I dont know why .. I'm not on it that often but it's become a part of me.
