This may seem as a general question but personally I take it seriously to watch my weight. I'm not a person with a chiseled frame and just an average guy. But I see to it that I do not go way beyond my limit, both being under and over, for health reasons. I tend to watch I eat and rarely binge. So how bout you? Are you conscious about your weight?

I suppose I'm somewhat weight conscious. I go through periods where I really watch what I eat and other periods where I just shove anything tasty into my mouth. I think it must be hormonal or something. I don't weigh as much as I used to, but I still feel like I need to loose about 30 pounds or so.

Hi Kythe. Being weight conscious is the start of the discipline. As they say, its a change in lifestyle that matters.

Hi Kythe. Try seeking an expert opinion through a nutritionist or a family doctor. That would help you resolve your weight issue.

I guess it's also harder for me to eat healty because I seem to have a problem where I actually lose weight when I eat junk food and gain weight when I eat healthy. I posted a discussion on this but so far no one has been able to give me any helpful advice on the matter.

Sometimes I am very weight conscious. I will do whatever it takes to be healthy. Then I go through periods where I am the opposite. I am not sure how there can be two opposites making such a decision. Maybe it depends on what I am dealing with at the moment. I honestly wish we did not have such an abundance of quick and easy foods. Back in biblical days it took a long time to make bread and other foods. People did not sit around and eat all the time. We have too many foods within our reach. Many of those foods are very unhealthy.

Yup. the food will always be there and there are more to come. I guess its up to us to decide which comes in or not.

I do a little bit, but that's only because I am very self-conscious. I would like to lose about 20 pounds or so, but that's more me being picky and not out of necessity. I used to weigh about 25 poinds less in high school when I played football, but I really ballooned when I went into college. I have slowly gotten more healthy, but I wish that I could get back to the shape I was in when I was in high school.

I am now! I never use to be once I got married and had my son, but now I am trying to lose the excess weight I have gained from not looking after myself and watching what I eat. I have slowly started getting back into exercising, and cutting down on a lot of fatty foods and drinks that I use to consume. I have lost 5 pounds already and intend to lose 40 more, even if it takes me a whole year to do it. I have a lot more time on my hands now than I did a year ago and so I am going to make the most of it by starting off with getting myself in shape and eating healthy.

I am very conscious of my weight. I struggle a lot with it for health reasons. I do not care all that much if I look a little fat. It is far more serious what goes on inside my body. I have a nutritionist that is trying to help me. I eat right, and have been for some time. My partner has lost a lot of weight. I am still struggeling

I do take my weight seriously. When I get a few pounds heavier than I like, I cut back on my eating. I don't really diet that much, just watch what I eat and cut out sugar. I need to exercise more, but I'm not very successful at that.
