Do you ever randomly go around Associated Content and pick some things to read and comment on? I have been trying to do more of it this week because I think it is important to contribute in this way to the site as well. I wondered what your opinions were on it??

Genuinely agreed with. Freelancing with Associated Content has been fabulous in feedback, constructive criticism, meeting wonderful writers, receiving payment and especially learning about lots of stuff I would normally ignore.
When I randomly search articles I gain knowledge in two special ways:, reading the style, presentation, choice of words or images and gusto put into written pieces by other writers helps to improve mine AND secondly, I learn new stuff about, well almost anything and it is usually well-written.
The communications between myLot and Associated Content are very positive, promising and intellectually stimulating so keep on randomly choosing contributors and lets get educated!

I do that as well. It helps fellow AC'ers/writers. In turn, they will notice your comments and possibly return the favor and check out some of your stuff. AC really has some very talented writers and some great material on it's site. http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=15512

Ah see creativedreamer . . . You just gave a very important message to future posters using their pages or refer url. I will check myself on this as I may be guilty of posting the referid? instead of simply the CP page.
Thanks again and good stuff from southern OR !

I probably should visit more randomly. I do try and visit the people I subscribe to, and don't as much as I plan. There are just not enough hours in the day. However, you are right about being supportive to the writers on Associated Content. It's got to be a trade situation. I also try and go visit people who have commented on my articles when they come out. I guess it's hard for everyone, because we are all trying to devote whatever extra time we have to writing, but we still have to remember to read, too. Thanks for the reminder.

I try to randomly go around and check out content but I find it hard sometimes or I'm just not in the mood to check things out. I don't always leave comments either because I'm never quite sure what I should leave. If I had a better idea about what to leave, I might be more inclined to leave comments. I never can find the words though.

I usually use the AC search engine to find things that I am interested in reading. Other times, I go straight to a couple of my favorite writers there and read their latest contributions.

I will usually do this after i check out the articles that my buddies have written. If you comment on other people articles, they will usually return the favor which means that you will receive more page views. I will usually pick a topic and then look at all of the different articles that are about that one thing. I always comment on the articles that I read.
