Have you ever had someone stalk/harass you via the internet? If so, what did you do to stop it? I have three people who are posting stuff in chat rooms, including my name, address and phone. A "revenge" website has also been made about me as well. I know who all three are; I have their names and info. I'm in the process of filing a statement with the local police first, then let them investigate it further. I've already contacted yahoo, but of course, they do nothing, but it's documented that I informed them. If anyone knows Yahoo, you know the rooms have gone downhill and full of bots and booters. I used to go in the business rooms to network, but it's impossible to do so any longer. Therefore, I dont, but I'm still getting harassed by these individuals, and I get emails sent to me telling me the posts about me in there and now this "website" they made up. I know that website will be shut down as they received a infringement notice twice and legally they have to shut it down or they go to jail. So it's just a matter of time before that disappears. Has anyone else dealt with this type of situation or one similar. Please tell your story and how you dealt with it.

I have never had this happen that I am aware of, I don't always read my emails though. If they are not emails I requested then they do not get my attention. I try to be very choosy where I go on the internet and never use my normal email on these kinds of sites. I have been told it is best to also not give out your true identity or true address on any sites. It is a shame that the kids of today have to do this trying to make the internet an unpleasant experience.
