Dale Jarrett has taken provisionals in every race but this last one. How many provisionals should a champion get in one season? My vote is 1. They should choose when it is most important to use it. I feel that it is not fair to the drivers that qualified with a better time. Let me know what you think!

I agree with the posts that say there should be 3 allowed, and they need to be spread out over the yr, and not used all at once. Then if a driver is going to use this, they need to make it known to everyone at least the Friday or Saturday before the race so there are no surprises for anyone.

I think it should be 3 for the year.I agree with the earlier post about making them spread it out over the entire year and not just use them all at one time.It really is annoying to see D.J. on the track and know that he has used his "power" as a past champ to knock out a new and trying to learn rookie or a not quite as well sponsored racer.

Okay so D.J. has 2 left. Being as right now we only have what 3 active and semi active past champions? I think if they are going allow them 6 then they should spread it out over the entire season. Not all at once like D.J. has done. It cost to much for these teams to go to the track and end up not making the race. So how about 3. One every 12 races that way fans can still see past champions race and some of the faster times have a better chance of getting in the show

I don't see a problem in the number of provisionals, but rather with the fact that they can simply use them anytime. If they are there for past champs to get back in after a car wreck then that champ should not be allowed to get in if they are wrecking every single race in a row.
