I am absolutely a pacifist. I'm not sure why, but it takes a lot to really upset or anger me. I figure there's enough anger in the world already, why add to it? However, this does not mean that I don't stand up for what I believe in-I have strong convictions and I will defend them fiercely, but I pick and chose my battles. Too many people spend too much time on non-issues. Pick a legitimate cause and put your energy towards that! No wonder diseases related to stress and anger (like heart disease) are on the rise in many places. Also, for the record, I refuse to enter into a battle of wits with an anarmed wo/man.

I would first try to talk to the other person and make him/her see sense and if they dont understand then it would be an eye to eye

On paper I would say turn my other cheek but my first reaction is to go for an eye for an eye. As a christian I have been thought to forgive, but its not always easy to do so.

Turning other cheek will not work. If you dont make offensive move they will do. It is life.

I would turn the other cheek. I'm a lover not a fighter.
