While it 's a blessing that technology can tackle fertility problems and bring hope to childless couples, what about controversial issues surrounding surrogate motherhood and worst, women who will not hesitate to be a surrogate mother for money?

There are those who have a very hard time carrying children. I had severe preclampsia and had to have my baby taken out of me 6 weeks early. There were other problems too. I wouldn't have someone else carry my baby for me though, it poses too many emotional problems. I do have two kids, so that probably sways my opinion. I am not sure how I would feel if I didn't have any kids.

I think it's good for people who really want kids and can't have any.

Well After Trying To Conceive For Almost A Year I Am Thankful That Science Can Help Me With My Fertility. Although I Have Not Started Any Thing Yet To Help I Am Getting Ready To Start Clomid To Induce Ovulation. But If For Some Reason I Would Need Something More Like IUI Or IVF I Will Be Happy To Go Through With The Process.

I think it's wonderful. My mother was having a hard time having children, and actually had some help to have me. I think the only time it can be considered "too far" is when you end up with 5 babies at a time. And even then, that's a risk women know about going into it. Every (good women any way) woman should have the opportunity to have a child.

Its a very good thing. But any good thing can be bad if used badly. But for couples who yearn for a baby, it will be a real blessing. I know the feeling of not having a baby cos I didn't get pregnant for 3 years. I was devastated. Finally, suddenly I was pregnant and felt like flying.

I think it is great for those who have trouble getting pregnant, but then people are all amazed with multiple births--like wow, how did that happen. Well, duh...

you know what there is nothing wrong in getting help from a doctor to get pregnant. If the mother is healthy and they really want a baby, then I say go fo it what ever helps is ok for me.
