Favorite Star Trek character?

I remember thinking how great it would be to have a female captain, I wondered how they were going to do it, if they would turn it to much into her being a woman and less her being a captain. Then they announced Gennivive Bujold and I was so disappointed, I could easliy see Madge Sinclair in the part, made easier when she had the cameo as the captain / mom of LaForge in TNG, but couldn't imagine this actress pulling it off and it seems I was right. When they annonced that Kate Mulgrew was going to do the part I was happy and looking forward to see what she did with it, I liked her since she first started acting, on Ryan's hope, and loved her in Mrs. Columbo. She was the perfect person for the part, and has made me feel that she is my favorite Captain. She has the right balance and flair to be as daring as need be, but can balance that out with a mom looking out for all her kids and doing what is best kind of attitude with out ever seeming motherly at all. She has almost a regal quality to her, that makes Janeway so easy to see as being in command, that you can see why others would follow her commands and why she can face an enemy or potential ally and handle it well. So Janeway is my favorite Star Trek Captain, and second favorite character or say close tie with Worf. I enjoy the character that Michael Dorn built up so well. He has a sense of humor but it is rare, there is such a sense of honor and dependablity about Worf, if there is one person you can count on to do the right thing it would be Worf. A sense of old fashioned values that is missing, you know this is a person who would never harm someone who is weaker, than himself, he would be the one you want to turn to if you needed help. And in many ways he is just a great big living teddy bear.

I loved the smooth, slick operating style of Dr. Spock. My siblings shared that liking and we ended up naming a pet after him :)

Teri Farrel from DS9 was even hotter than Seven of Nine.....

My favorite is Captain Kirk. I just love his human spirit and weakness. My other favorite characters are Spock, McCoy and Scottie. As you can see all of these are from the Classic Star Trek. Somehow the new generation could not cut much ice with me. Cheers! Ram

My favorite character was Seven of Nine. Lady was hot and sexy. When she came in seventh season along with Borg appearance the Star Trek Voyager improved and become much more interested.

I'm a fan of all the series (except Enterprise, which I never really got into...) My Favorites though are TNG and Voyager. My favorite characters would have to be Data and Commander Riker from TNG; Doctor Bashir, Odo and Quark from DS9; and the Doctor and Seven of 9 from Voyager. Seven would also have to be my favorite female character overall, while I think my absolute favorite would be Data! I have a feeling a lot of people love Data as their top favorite. Another character I really love is Q, and I could never understand why everyone was so resistant to going along with all his games. If I had the chance, I would definitely want to be on Q's good side, think of all the amazing things he could do for you!
