Yep! that happened when i do housework. i usually got ideas what to do for vacation, how i want to cook the chicken, what to do this weekend, ideas to create new recipes. no need to ponder so long, just do your housework, ideas will keep pouring in your mind. plus, you get to burn calories too!

My big problem is that I have so many ideas I'm likely to abandon the housework and start working on them. If I could just do the housework first that would be a lot better for me!

Not only do I get ideas (and excuses to NOT do the housework), I get the chance to let my mind work on things that I've needed to think about but haven't had the chance. Having my hands busy with a mindless task leaves my brain free to gnaw on the latest difficulty and come up with solutions, or answers, or sometimes just more questions. I find myself cleaning more when something's bothering me.
Most of the big ideas I get about cleaning, though, are all about ways to make it so I can do LESS cleaning. Like where is the ideal place to put the kids' laundry hamper so they'll actually use it? And where can they store their bookbags so they are accessible without being in the middle of the floor? Sometimes I've hit on really great ideas, like when my oldest was a baby. I was trying to figure out how to arrange the changing table so I could reach everything without letting go of the squirming child, when it hit me - just change her on the floor! She can't fall off of that! So, I have done that now with all three kids, and have never had to worry about a baby rolling off a changing table since.
