why is bodybuilding not a olympic sport

I love to workout and am just a ammature bodybuilder .I think bodybuilding is ignored as a sport,including it in the olympics will help improve its popularity,so why is it not included?

It was accepted in the Olympics once and under tests but then get refused again for problems with illegal steroids and fixing the results, etc. body building is a good sport but let's face it, professional body building is any thing but a fair sport.
