what i've always watching to help me lower my blood pressure is a low fat diet as i will now go on cooking thru steam , grill , bake and only use olive oil for sauteeing . i always eat oatmeal for breakfast with low fat milk ang banana then oatmeal for dinner also with chicken soup or meatballs noodles. this oatmeal really helps our blood pressure lower fast as we go in our healthy diet a good exercise too.

Salt and spicy especiallly chilly based food is to be completely stopped. Patient should try to stay on juices, green vegetable soups and fruits., fat free milk, curd&cheese. Food should by light minimum possible.
Some kind of yogasana to be performed, like kamarchakrasana, Vajrasana, suptavajrasana, Sarpasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Uttanpad-sana, Makarasana & Pawanamuktasana should be performed and when Proficiency is reached add Sarvangasana as well Kapalbhati, Nadisodhan (without retention) Pranayamas will be useful. Practice Shavasana for 10 minutes couple of times everyday.
I think this is enough to reduce your or anybody high blood pressure

You can look at this as an opportunity to try different spices instead of salt. Most of us eat too much salt, but now you can see how good a substitute things like basil and oregeno (sp?) are. Some salt is okay, just not a lot. If you inherited the tendency to have high blood pressure, you might need to use medicine, but a way to cut costs is to ask your doctor to prescribe twice the strength you need, and cut the pills in half. One refill lasts twice as long.

High blood pressure can be very dangerous especially when it exceed the critical limit.... hopefully you will seek medical help..
Anyway, you can try garlic. They're available in capsules. Go for those with no-after-odour.. Fish oil might also help u a bit.. often it is recommended to be taken after food 1000~3000mg per day. But if you're prescribed with warfarin, u better check with your health care provider about the interactions..
I want to suggest taking salt with less sodium. It is believed that Sodiun in salt that cause the problem. My father have mild hypertension so i bought him Pan Salt that is lower in sodium..

I had high blood pressure for several years, it got especially bad the last month of my last pregnancy and stayed that way even after she was born. I could not afford to take the meds but I knew I could not afford NOT to take them either. After much research I decided on diet and exercise to see if it would help like they say. After 3 months of following the Weight Watchers diet and walking my blood pressure was back down to normal. During the winter months I couldn't walk outside so I found the most wonderful piece of exercise equipment, and the cost was under $100. The Gazelle is so easy to use and you get a cardio workout. So even now that the weather is warmer, I still use it. But for me diet and exercise was the key.

I am normally healthy, but the doctor told me I have high blood pressure two days ago. He prescribed Atenolol Tablets B.P. 50 mg, to be taken after dinner for 30 days, one tablet per day.
Your discussion helped me to know more about my condition and some natural cures which I prefer more than medicine. Hope your blood pressure (and mine) fall very soon.

Well I used to have high blood pressure but I do not have it now yes I have reduced my own blood presure and without medication. Firstly weight can be a big contribution to our blood pressure, you cannot just sit there and worry about it you must do a little exercise every day and especially watch what you are eating as these are the two that bring up your blood pressure. So eat right and enjoy your life and do a litle exercise and you will be fine if you want to find out any more then go and look at my discussions as I always post about health concerns and how to treat them.

Hi ricknkae,My blood pressure is nearly always high when I have it taken, because it's entirely stress related. I can feel my blood preasure rising whenever I'm facing a stressful situation, like going through customs, even though I know I'm clean. No matter how minimal, or unimportant the situation may be, I feel the pressure rising.
When I was very young I had some bad experiences with people in uniform, now whenever I face a situation involving some in uniform, even a nurse taking my blood pressure, I can feel it rising. Silly I know, but that's how it is for me.

My auntie said Garlic is helpful. I remembered one time, after we eat in a Fiesta, she ate 2 clubs of raw garlic. She said it's for her High Blood Pressure. To avoid for it to rise again.

I know that medication can be very expensive as well as the doctor's visits. I'll try to help you if I can.
You have High BP...have you heard of Tahitian Noni Juice? It's a dietary suppliment that is availble through Indepent distributors. The primary function of the juice is to clean the blood. When you've got the basics down, everything else follows. In other words, when your blood is heathly, your organs will not have to work so hard to get your blood filtered and can concentrate on other things. The same goes for when you fast for 10 days or more. You're thinking clearer because your body isn't needing to use the energy to digest the foods.

thanx for ur question. 1st of all i want to describe here is that normal bp may very frm person to person.actualy according to theory frm 110/70mmhg to 15o/90mmhg is under comes in normal BP.
BUT above than that 150/90mmhg will consider as high blood preesure.it may upto 260/160mmhg.
but in case of mild hypertention means upto 160/90 or 160/100mmhg. u can try some herbal treatment.
also u will have to do some exercise daily.
avoid salt intake as much as u can.
avoid oily & fatty foods.
avoid meat & chicken as much as u can.
take 2,3 piece of raw garlic early in the morning daily.(that will help u in reducing cholesterol)
also do yoga daily..now a day becoming famous.
also avoid excess of mental & physical stress.
change ur life style.,means avoid sedentery life style,.
all these tips definatly will keep u away frm Ani-hypertensive medicines.
