Poor Sanjaya???

I don't think that he thinks that he should be gone too. One time they asked him if he thought he deserved to be in the final 10 and he said yes. I think that he thinks he is good. I feel sorry for him too, but he sure is getting a lot of publicity.

i so disagree. he don't think he should be gone. he needs to go its so unfair that people that should still be there aren't cuz he is. he knew when he started what it was about.

I really think that website "Vote for the Worst" is helping to keep him alive on the show. Basically, the person/people that run this website pick the worst person and solicit other people to vote as well. Last year, they picked Kevin Covais to vote for and look at how long he lasted on the show.

Let's be honest here, the show is about ratings, not about choosing an american idol. I love the show, I have gone entire seasons not missing an episode. But this year I just can't get into it. I was disappointed with last years outcome. I thought and still think Chris was the best. I understand that is my taste and my opinion but the outcome was in the news and on the net a lot. That created a lot of publicity, ie ratings. Sanjaya is not good enough to be where he is right now, it's as simple as that. He's a cute kid with a big dream, that's all. Maybe in a few years he would be better with training but as it is I just don't see him deserving to win. BUT, at the point we are at now with all the bad publicity he is getting, I believe he is getting pity votes and that could hurt the ones that really are good. The one that is the backup singer is excellent, she is also very introverted and I fear that Hollywood so to speak would eat her alive. I think her name is Malinda. I have noticed on a few shows I did watch she is coming out of her shell but she needs to cut loose a whole lot more. I'm sorry but I just can't get onto the pity wagon for Sanjaya. He is getting publicity and is in the limelight and honey, that is how you get the vote, the contract and the money.

I completely agree with you. I also feel sorry for him. I think he truely believes he shouldn't be there any longer either and is just trying to have fun with the whole thing to keep a positive attitude. People need to remember that he is just a kid and to stop saying such horrible things about him. Like you said, it's not his fault that he's still around, and he's just trying to make the most of it at this point. I totally loved him and his sister when they tried out. I think he was deserving of being in the top 24, but he probably shouldn't have made it a whole lot farther than that. Again, it's not his fault though.

I feel sorry for him too. He is just a kid, and he does have some talent, it's not like he can't sing at all. He did get picked for the show afterall to start with. But.. I do think he has gone past the point his level of talent should have taken him and Chris Sligh totally got robbed! I really liked him, and I hope he still does well and gets a record deal or some kind of bigger fame even though he got booted. He can be this season's Chris Daughtry. He got robbed too, but it turned out probably better for him than if he had won. It was just his destiny I suppose. I think it sucks that he will stay while people who deserve to still be on will get booted early because he gets a pity vote or teenage girls who think he's cute will vote for him.. or people will vote for him to be funny. Unfortunately, that's the way the show works though, and all we can do is hope that in the end the right person wins in spite of the stupidness over Sanjaya. And WTH was up with his hair this week?? YIKES! :o))
