nonpharmacologic measures to reduce pimples
1. more water
2. stress-free lifestyle
3. nutritious foods (more fruits and vegetables) (sweets are no-no)
4. enough sleep (8-10 hrs a day)
5. less exposure to sun and dusty environment
6. use mild or non-irritant soaps
7. avoid touching your pimples
if none of these is effective, consult a dermatologist for professional help

Acne is a very common skin disorder that most young people get in early puberty. It is caused by inflammation of the small oil glands. Depending on the severity of your acne, your doctor may choose to treat you or refer you to a dermatologist. Acne can be treated with medications that are either applied to the skin or taken by mouth. Here are some tips which can help you or your cousin :-
Wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. Make sure you wash your skin whenever it becomes sweaty. Do not scrub your face.
Do not squeeze or pick at the pimples. This makes them worse and may cause scarring.
Avoid exposing your skin to too much cold, heat and sunlight. Sunlight may improve your acne for a while, but it won't cure it.
Use a water-based moisturiser. Greasy or oily creams and foundations block the pores and may cause pimples.
Choose a sensible, varied diet, drink lots of water and exercise regularly. If you feel good, your skin will feel good also. Make your life tension or stress free.
Best of Luck! 'n have a nice time. Bye

I havent had to deal with this isuue for a very long time but when I was a teenager I used oxy10. I have no idea if its still even on the market for all I know they could have pulled it for causing cancer or something. But I do know it was great, the best stuff I ever used.

My daughter and I picked some stuff up at the health food store. It is called Dream Cream. It is suppose to help with many different things, including acne. We are finding it works well for our acne. It is made by a company called Aroma Crystal Therapy Ltd. (www.aromacrystal.com). It contains lavender, peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus, cinnamon, tea tree, arnica and chamomille. Sounds like something you could make at home, doesn't it? Actually, those are just the active ingredients, there's other stuff in there too like vitamins and acids.
It is supposed to help with all kinds of skin conditions, pain management and circulation. I haven't used it on any aches and pains as yet but I can tell by the sensation that it would probably help.
I have tried a lot of different products. I think at 44 years of age I should be done with acne but I still have it and I don't want it anymore!

There are skin cleansers that are pretty good. Look for face washes that have salicylic acid in them. It is milder tha glycolic acid and helps to unclog the pores and balance the oiliness. Another thing he can do is mash together 1/2 ripe papaya, peeled and skinned of course, an egg white that has been beaten, and a teaspoon of honey. He should spread this on his face for 20 minutes 2 or 3 times a week until he sees a change, any change, in the oiliness of his skin. I say "
any" because he will need to judge if he feels comfortable with how it is working. Everyone's skin reacts differently. He can also try a cosmetic grade clay..1/4 teaspoon, mixed with 2 teaspoons of yogurt and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. He can leave it on for 15 minutes each time he uses it and then rinse it off with warm water.
When you are using these items you should store the leftovers in the refrigerator and be sure to label them so that no one tries to eat them!

Arbonne has a great heating mask and acne facial wash - they work AMAZINGLY, even with old acne scars.
