In this link: http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/article2308416.ece It becomes clear that Poverty has dramatically increased during the Bush administration. nearly 16 million ppl living on an individual income of less then 5000 us dollars per year. That is the entire Dutch country living in poverty by comparison (Holland has 16 million inhabitants). People living in extreme poverty has increased with 26 per cent since the year 2000. So isn't it about time America should look at their own ppl, instead of meddling with other countries?

What I think is people should stop believing everything they read. If these people are making less than $5,000 a year it is because they are too lazy to work. A forty hour work week figured at $6.50 per hour x 52 weeks figures out to $13,520. To make $5000 at $6.50 would require about 769 hours of work, or about 14 hours a week. This is not the governments problem. This is the problem of the individual's who refuse to go find a better job. In my opinion, lazy S.O.B.s who don't care enough about themselves to try to improve their position in life deserve no further consideration. The jobs are there if people want them. If they don't then that is on them. Now, what does all this have to do with the American backyard, hmmmm?

What about the single mothers with young children who can't work because they don't have anyone to look after their children. Or what about the incappacitated. Do you not think they are the government's problem?
