it is cold, running down my face and then i woke up. tears are coming from my eyes when i am sleeping. i woke up because it is not warm. the feeling i had when i am sleeping relates me to the present world. my dream is very connected to the real world. i feel the pain in my dreams and so i cried.
i never imagined or even think that i will cry in my sleeping hours. i always have done this. i cry. my emotions are very obvious, even when i'm asleep.
how bout you? do you experience this? woke up in the middle of the night just because a cold water comes running down through your face.

Yes I have cried in my sleep to wake up with a wet face and still crying. Sometimes our dreams can seem so real and yes your brain also stores things from everyday life. Crying is also a stress relief for your body as well. Some times I can be crying real hard in my sleep and wake up still crying and the sorry or whatever I was dreaming about is still with me.

We share the same views about crying while asleep. This happens to me whenever problems seem insurmountable. Then there is some relief that the experience brings to me. Others may find this weird, but this is true.

Never have I had your experience. I can't help thinking of what your dream will be. Maybe it really touched you. Maybe it hurt you so deeply. Or maybe you are too emotional. I often are scared so much that I can't calm myself when waking up from the dream. Then I would sit up blankly for a long time. Many times one can't tell the dream from reality.

hi,friend, eventhough we sleep.our small brain will work and subconciously we will do everything. If some mosquito bite us,our hand automatically touch that place.Like wise we smile.cry...Some people will smile loudly in sleep ,as they are dreaming some witty scene.

Most people experience it subconsciously, but the subconscious mind is also capable of controlling the human body. Some results are sleepwalking and sorts. The body will respond to the brain even when you are sleeping. Neuro-connectivity i think.

This has never happened to me yet. But what I usually experience is crying myself to sleep. Because of too much crying I would end up sleeping. Then I would wake up with swollen eyes that I could barely open my eyes. Then because I don't want anybody to see it I would rub it deeply to take off the eye bugs that I got from crying too much. Well, for you, you're just really an emotional person and even through your sleep you might have dreams that made you cry you just can't remember it because the only part of the dream we can remember is the dream we had 30 minutes before we wake up.

Well I dont frequently experience night crying but I believe I have cried for like once or twice at sleep before... I think that happens to many people especially when their dreams are related to things in life which they are afraid of happening.. In my case I cried at sleep because I dreamt of my mother kicking me out of our house... That was one horrible nightmare!!!

Yes, I have had that happen to me. I have woken up crying because I was dreaming of something terribly sad. It is not unusual!

There have been a couple of times in my life that I woke to find that I had been crying in my sleep. No big deal, the brain works things out while we sleep. Crying is usually a good thing for us. We are built to cry as a release etc. Must be normal for you. Vivid dreaming would be a good reason to find yourself crying and emoting.

Yes, this happens to us sometimes. I can remember that this happens to me whenever I am encountering problems which are heavy enough. There are times when I am awakened by my sobbings which come loud enough for me to hear. I take a glass of water and then it takes quite a long time before I get back to sleep again. I believe it is one of those mechanisms we have to help us cope with life's miseries.

I know what you're feeling, mskzalameda. I seldom have this episodes of crying while sleeping. If you have troubles in your life, sometimes it will go right up to our subconscious mind. By then, all your troubles will turn into a dream. I tend to keep all my emotions inside. By dreaming, all my emotions will comes out and I have nowhere to control everything. If it reach the highest pinnacle of our emotions, we will suddenly woke up and began to feel the coldness around us. if you are a religious person, try to give your most fervent prayer for safety and guidance before sleeping.

This is very terrible. I am so sorry to hear this.. I have not cried unknowingly in my dreams. You must have been very upset... try to clear your mind of worries and thoughts before you sleep.
I hope things become better for you...

You must have been very stressed up such that you can get such a dream so realistic. Hope you are getting on well.
I don't wake up in the middle of the night crying. The closest I experienced was scream and it woke everyone up. And when I woke up, it was sort of real, my heart was pumping very fast. I do beleve that emotions can be displayed thru dreams.

It is a release of negative emotion, frustration, or fear. Due to repression or denial, sometimes people are unable to express their feelings. In the dream state some of our defense mechanisms may relax and an emotional release occurs. Some emotional dreams may be compensatory in nature. Thus, if you never cry in daily life, you may cry in your dreams
