If you did something wrong when you are young, how would your parents educate you? Would they scold you or beat you?
Vivid memories came flooding back of one afternoon when my father told me that he would allow me to drive on condition that I drove very carefully. Having just learned to drive, and hardly having the opportunity to use the car. I was so excited that I promised him. However, I was so immerced in the happiness that I forgot what i have promised. Just then, a little boy who ran forward without looking. Fortuniately, the little boy and me were both slghtly hurt. When my father knew the fact, he just said nothing but refusing to let me drive him.
Seeing my father in so much physical and emotional pain was the most expressing and painful experience that I have ever faced. I will never let my father down.

When I did things wrong when I was a child my mum used to smack me.
If I didn't eat my dinner or fought with my sister or said rude things I would get smacked.
I dont' think this is a good punishment. I do occasionally smack my children but I always try to find a more appropriate punishment first.

when i was younger, my father would hit me whenever i do something bad or against his will. my mother on the other hand, would use emotional blackmail against me. she would offen say things that would hurt someone like me. looking back at life then, i would rather be hit by father. because i feel that my mother has hurt me more. her words still linger in my memory even if those words were said 15 years ago.

If by scolding you mean "being yelled at until deaf", then yes, I was scolded. And I was beaten. But that was only by my father.
Luckily my mom was much better about disipline and divorced my father when she found out what he did, heh.
