Would you possibly be able to go an entire month without using the internet? And that means everything not even to check your emails, or use the internet on your cell! Could you do it would life be different for you in that month? And for all of you "internet junkies" if somebody offered you $300 to go one month, would you? could you?

no i don't think i could. but I'll reconsider for $300. internet has become one of my important things nowadays. i run my business through the internet. and i have internet related business. that's why i don't think i could leave the internet, even for 2 days.

Well I guess i will survive it if i really have to but it would be like a nightmare.. it's like staying in your room and not talking to anyone or communicating with the world, we came to depend on the internet too much for our own good.. I wouldn't do it for $300, maybe $3000 if there's a serious offer ;) but i will need to prepare for it and tell people that i will be away for a month.. it's not fair for friends to just disapear without notice when most of them i can't contact in any other way but on the internet.

Not even from my cell? I guess I can't. But we don't know yet if we don't try it, do we? And for $300, it's worth to try.

I dont think that I would be possible for me. In fact, my job revolves round the internet and most of the communications at work are through emails. I will loose more than 300$ if I dont get to use the internet for one complete month. But yes, at times when I am on vaccations, I keep myself away from internet and spend all of my time with my loved ones.

It would be impossible for me to go completely internet free for a month because then I couldn't do my job. I'm responsible for updating my department's website. Now of the rule was just that I couldn't use the internet for my own personal use for a month, than assuming that I can inform people that I will be away, it would be no problem at all. I rarely use the internet on weekends or when I am at home in the evening. Considering that I stare at a computer screen all day, at night I prefer to read things that are actually on paper or just relax and watch a movie. I do think that a lot of people spend way too much time online. I think if a lot of people tried to do this, I think they would find out that they are actually more dependant on the internet than they think they are.

Of course, i can. When i was still a student i was able to make it without an internet in our household. We can live without it. It is not a necessity or a need on everyday life.

Undeniable as it is, we are bombarded with millions of issues that internet offers. It serves as our search engine for school projects, studies, analysis, etc. However, if I had to go one month without the internet, then that would be fine with me.It's not the only way to generate facts and share ideas as well.Life without an internet is always possible. It's not any biological part of it.it's only an extra stuff that we engage ourselves into in certain times.

I think I am capable of 1 month without internet. May be at that time I will be able to enjoy my life just like the good old days e.g sports, reading books, sight seeing, etc. IMHO, life without internet can be fun once in a while.

When I go ocean sailing I am out of reach of the internet for weeks on end. I am also without television, newspapers and so on, and do you know, the world manages to squeeze by without me! Mind you, when we reach port, I'm first in the queue at the internet cafe to log on. haha The funniest thing was to come back to soap operas after 5 months and find the storey line at the same point as when I left!!

yes I could! it's pretty relaxing, in fact. no mails to check, no one can reach you... you're alone and calm! the internet is pretty young. I spent most time in my life without it than with it. And life was perfectly normal before it was here. it's the typical example of a "need" we created. like cellphones. IT'S NOT GOOD TO MAKE YOURSELF ESSENTIAL!!
