I don't have a choice in the matter, haha. I'm the oldest of 3, so I'm stuck being the older sister.
But I would have wanted it that way anyway. I've seen how my sister acts now that she's been spoiled all her life and I wouldn't want to be like that.
She can't even get a job on her own, so I can't wait for her to try and find her own place, heh. It will definetly be interesting.

hahaha! so true! this kinda reminds me of the movie "In Her Shoes". Try watching it! It is a movie about two sisters having a bad time being with each other. The older one was the serious one while the younger couldn't anything. She can't even read properly. It's really funny and at the sane time it movec me.

I'll look into that movie! I might even show it to my sister and see if it knocks some sense into her.
Probably not, but heres to hope, haha.

I loved being the younger sister (I have a new baby sister now, so in a way I'm not the youngest anymore eventhough my baby sister is 23 years younger than me). My older sister had to look out for me, break my parents in when it came to curfews and rules, and got spoiled a lot less. By the time I came around, I just sorta coasted by without any set curfews or strict rules because my older sister had been so well behaved. While I am enjoying being an older sister now, things were pretty sweet when I was the baby.

Being that I am both an older sister and a younger sister, I think that I enjoy being the older sister more. It may also have something to do with all my siblings being boys and having no sisters. It's nice to be spoiled, and it's nice to be taken care of, and it's nice to be able to get away with more than I should. However, I find that I get the same kind of attention from all of my brothers, regardless of if they are older or younger than me. And, being that I am the only girl in the family, I get that special attention from my parents.
That said, I do have a very nurturing side to me. And, I feel the need to take care of all my brothers, as well as my parents, from time to time. I like that my brothers look to me for advice, and that my parents trust me to take care of business when it needs to be done. Yes, sometimes it is a burden, but the rewards far outweigh the costs.

Well, I am the older sister out of 3. I guess it had it's advantages, even though I came from a family where my Mom never made me do anything, and so I suffer from being Lazier now as an adult when it comes to housework, etc.
I would have Loved to have been the baby, as even though my sister was made to do more, she was more spoiled due to being the youngest so I feel that would have been a little easier and better.

Yeah me too! I would have loved to be the youngest. But sad to say I'm the oldest. I have a younger brother and sister who happens to be the youngest. Being the oldest I have lots of responsibilities like doing house chores and taking care of my siblings when my parents are away. You're just so lucky that your mom never made you do anything. But at the same time, I guess it's not that bad coz I've learned a lot from my mom like cooking and gardening.

Oh that's sad! I'm sure you miss her so. Why don't you try calling her or maybe arrange a date with your sister? And bring back the old times.

I'm second among 5 girls. It's fun both ways, younger or older sister alike. The younger siblings look up to me and depend so much on me and same thing with me to my eldest sister. Sometimes though she comes to me for opinion and it's a great feeling for someone I look up to coming to me and asking for a comment or opinion to an important decision she's making. I also realized that there are lots of things I learned from my younger sisters. Sometimes they act more maturely than I do.

I'm the older sister to a 16 year old spoiled brat. My parents have always favoured her. But I don't think I'd trade spots with her for one minute because my father puts so much pressure on her. I couldn't handle that.

I agree! My parents have always favored my youngest sister as well. It's nice to have all the attention of your parents but come to think of it, too much kinda freaks me out.

Actually i experience both of them because i'm a middle child. I have my older sister and my younger sister and i enjoy the most is being younger sister because every time that i make a wrong decision my older sister is always there for me unlike when i'm the older sister, i'm the one that need to correct the wrong decision of my younger sister specially now that my younger sister is not a good listener in our advice and she ruin her life.
