Can't say if this is a bad idea...

Well, I'm not really sure this is alright to do on here, but I thought an introduction would nice.
Hi, everyone. I'm just a stay at home mom who's going nuts through lack of socialization. So, where to find people to talk to? Online, of course! Where everyone and their mother's brother's cousin are.
I'm a little silly, a lot of crazy, and a polyglot too.
So, nice to meet you all, and if you feel like telling me anything about yourself, I'm here to listen :)
*Okay, that sounded really odd, didn't it? Sorry, I'm terrible with introductions.

I don't know, personally I found your introduction cute. =p
Hi!!! I saw you on another discussion and liked your reply, so I came to check you out!
Let's see... what to say about me? I'm a working mom actually, but I got nuts sometimes because none of the people I work with share my interests (though they are nice people) and sometimes I just need someone to talk about nerdy stuff to! So of course, like you, I find going online to be excellent.
I've been on mylot since January, and I'm really enjoying it. I've made some awesome friends here. Mostly I talk about religion, parenting, anime, and whatever random silly thing catches my eye at the moment.
I hope you have loads of fun here!

Snow on Easter Morning... you were talking about grilling to thumb our noses at the snow. It seemed like a good attitude to me. =P
I don't need to proselytize. There's nothing in my religion that requires or even recommends it. I'm Pagan, and I walk a very personal spiritual path. So if I'm talking about religion, it's from a learning point of view, not a converting one.
My avatar is a picture of Hanajima Saki from Fruits Basket. Hana-chan is one of my favorite anime characters ever. =)

Well, snow is pretty and all but the daffodils have been in bloom for two weeks now. It's got to go! :)
Aha, I knew it looked familiar. I haven't read Fruits Basket yet, but I started looking into it while I was reading Nana and Sakuran (can't wait to get my hands on a copy of the movie *squeal*)

Which discussion was that?
When you say you talk about religion, are you more of a philosopher or a proselytizer. Sometimes I think I live for religious debates. Too many people take everything said to heart, leading to flared tempers but no good conversation.
Who is your icon of? It looks familiar, but I can't seem to place it.

I don't think you sounded silly at all. So welcome to our "little" community. It's always nice to have another mom or dad on here.
I can tell you a little about myself. First of all, I'm really new to this whole computer thing, hence my avatar. I'm just learning to use one. I was a SAHM for about 4 years thn went back to my job as a CNA. Recently, I made the decision to go back to college at almost 40 and dropped back down below part-time work at my job. I now work on a casual basis so I can go for my degree as a paralegal. I get really bored too and that's why I enjoy this site so much. So many of the people I've come across here are just incredibly great and that's why I stay. I think you'll really like it too. Hope to see lots of your posts and hopefully can be there to relieve some of the boredom for you!

Well, they say we are our own worst critic. I just feel so humbled by the welcome from everyone.
:) I thought your avatar quite lovely. I have a thing for green.
Congratulations on continuing your studies. May your mind bear many, uh, fruits!

No, you didn't sound silly.
I'm a stay at home mom also. I do get lonely and have no one to talk to except my husband who gets tired of me talking his ear off and my mother who is a phone person. I chat with my little brother sometimes on line and now that I found mylot I hope to do a lot of chatting and making money! My goal is to post enough to make a dollar a day! This money will go to our vacation fund!
I have a 4 yr old daughter and a 3 yr old son.
My only socialization is at church and with my family. I look forward to chatting on mylot

Hmm, I've only got one little girl, she turned four over the winter season.
Haha, I know what you mean about your significant other getting tired of the talking. My boyfriend is always complaining that I grate on his nerves with the million subjects a day. But, I have been known to be overly gabby, so can't say I blame him.
That's a great idea for a vacation fund. Best of luck to on that! :D

Nice introduction.
If you are trying to avoid going nuts, this is a good place for safe interaction and a little extra money. I bet you find all sorts of things to keep your mind busy and might find some other money making opportunities as you cruise through everyone's profiles.
Have fun,
~SM

LOL, there's nothing wrong with being nosey. I'd say tis what makes the world go round. Don't believe me? Ask the neighbor peeping out of her curtains as you head to work in the morning.
It's nice to meet you and I hope you have a great Easter break.

Jeez woman, I wrote my introduction before you!
Making friends and making money, what a combo from a site.
