Do you ever...

I have been sitting here for twenty minutes just browsing through the discussions looking for one to answer. There are some bad posts and others that I would normally answer, but for some reason I can't seem to find the motivation for it tonight!
Knowing I have reached minimum payout should have given me a kick up the bum to get it as high as possible, but no!
Maybe I have overdosed on mylot!
Does anyone else ever have this problem and if so how do you get over it???
Thanks as always!

Lol, Im with you. I spend more time looking and reading for something that i find enlightening to respond to. So many people just drop a line anywhere for the credit. That's not very meaningful or beneficial to those of who actually use the site to exchange thoughts.

To me it's usually just the number of bad posts. And then I get frustrated having to wade through to the decent posts. Even the ones my friends have started don't interest me.
I saw a discussion today that was titled 'give me a word that starts with d'. And there were three reponses! Are you kidding me? I wanted to write 'dumba**'. There's a word that starts with d.
Ok, sorry didn't mean to rant on your discussion. But i know how you feel, Dude (see starts with d)

Quite a common occurrence, especially since some friends who were among the best posters on myLot are no longer here. Sometimes, there are a heap of new discussions which are good, but so often it is a matter of feeding through pages and pages of the same old repeats and "nothings". Lately I have taken to going to the profiles of good responses I've seen and answering their posts from the profiles. That gives a few.

Every couple of days I have that problem. So then I just read through for a bit and if I don't get motivated then I leave for a bit. Then when I come back I'm refreshed and able to give what I expect of myself.
Like anything we need a break, some fresh air. Maybe a bite to eat and a cold beverage to get our energy back up. Take a break and see if you feel better. If not we will all be here tomorrow.
No sense in giving a response if it's not your best is my philosophy. :)

Sometimes I think we just overdo it on these pay sites.
Soon it is all that one does with spare time and it becomes obsessive.
I have often been where you are, despite how much I love to write.
The best thing to do is to walk away from it for a while. Like maybe a day or two. Watch some TV or do something special with the kids.
Mylot will be here when you return all refreshed and ready to type.
Sitting and looking at a screen is not much fun when your heart and head is just not in it right now.

Yeah, I was feeling that way last week. I put it down to a combination of spring fever and lack of chocolate. ;o)

I get to that stage quite often. Sometimes I just get really bored with it and just can't be bothered and from time to time I stay off myLot altogether for a couple of weeks but so far I've always drifted back again. If I look hard enough I can usually find some things interesting enough to respond to but if I'm not in the mood my responses normally aren't very good anyway. Sometimes it's good to take a break from it.

I'm kinda new to my lot but I do notice that there are not to many interesting discussions just thing that pop up in people mind and they thought they'd share but then there are some that are worth the effort my thing is how else do you get money on this site ?

I found myself looking through the discussions like that lots of times..I am very close to my second payout and I need that cash..so I am trying to stick to my rule of only talking about things I either know about or want to know about..lol.I get in here sometimes, and I can post at least 60 times..but then there are days when I can only manage one or two..basically, the only thing I could come up with to solve the problem is to only come in when you have nothing else to do and just get focused..lol

I think that happens to everyone! There are days when I skip myLot altogether, just like there are days when I don't write entries for ANY of my blogs. I've found that when I don't feel any inspiration, I'm just better off walking away and looking for something else to do.
I am not sure WHY this happens-- maybe our brainwave patterns are simply different, each day.
So, my answer is "take the day off!"

Yeah if I were you then I would take a break for a while and do something other than Mylot. I feel like I'm overdosing on Mylot too a lot. I just took a four day long break not really wanting to but I ended up being away and now I am fighting to get time to get on here. I just think you should sit back and relax without Mylot for a while and see if that helps. Maybe there will be better discussions when you come back. Oh and Congrats on reaching Payout I'm still trying to make it there.

I've had this problem a few times. I just take it to mean that I should take a break for a day or so.
I take a break and come back to it a day or so later and find that I'm enthusiastic about posting discussions and responses again.
Maybe the fact that you've made payout is whats slowing you down? Like maybe curbing your motivation by thinking "Well, I've made payout so it doesn't REALLY matter." While you may not actually be thinking that to yourself, it might be your subconscious telling you that.
Take a break, see how it goes.

You may just need a little rest away from here and that could be enough to refresh you. Or you could maybe look at all the different topics that are available or add to your interests to find more discussions to look at. There is still a couple of days earning left, you could maybe try to set a target of a number of discussins to answer which could rekindle your interest as you try to meet your target.

I do it all the time! Most of the time though when I do find something that I want to respond to, by the time I read it, I have to get up and get a kid out of something, or get up and clean something..I'm finding it really hard to stay online for more than 5-1o minutes at a time..It's getting really annoying!!! ;-)

It seems like writers block :))
So far I'm still struggling to make it to the payout level but I find myself sometimes wasting a lot of time flipping through discussions and responding non, I soon snap out of it and participate again.. I guess once i will reach payout level I will be much lazier :)
