I was using a laptop for two years now. But three months ago i found a laptop at a very cheap price and i bought it. Now i really prefer it. It takes a little space at my office and i can take it with me wherever i want. What do you think about it? What do you use in a daily base?

It all depends on my mood and the place I am in. At home I use desktops-mine or my children's sometimes. Outside I use my laptop. I have 3 desktops at home, besides that a cool Toshiba laptop.

Oh and all the systems are networked, so accessing the internet is no issue.

had a desktop for years, just got a laptop about 6 months ago. i will never go back to a desktop. with the technology evolutions that have come about in the past 10 years, the laptop and desktop are virtually the same thing with the exception of size. i see no point in the desktop and think they will be non-existent in another 5 years.

I use my desk top computer. My mom uses a laptop. I prefer this because I got to add my stereo and so many things here.

I actually use both. I have a pc and my hubby has a laptop. I use his in the afternoons so that I can watch the telly which I respond to posts. I prefer the pc because the screen is bigger and I can plug more things into it. I just need to get more memory for it.

I use a desktop in my home and in my school. It’s cheaper, it offers you more options to upgrade, and it also offers you better image quality since laptop screens are very poor in quality.

Laptops are good because of their mobility and portability or course. But desktops are easier to repair and won't cost as much when they break down. It's harder and much more tedious to upgrade a laptop too. So I think when I go out and work, I'm gonna buy a desktop still. But each to his or her own ideas and opinions. =)
I'm using a desktop now, by the way. Laptops aren't cheap in my country. Lol

i use my desktop computer because i have no worries about it on how will i recharge it or some sort of things the disadvantages of a laptop can give but i am also in favor of having a laptop because like you said, it is space savvy and you can bring that everywhere unlike the usual desktop computer. all in all, having neither of the two is just okay. it depends on the user if he will use a laptop or a desktop. what important is, you are comfortable with the computer you are using. I have a desktop computer. I prefer desktop computer. If only I can buy a LCD monitor and a very tiny casing for the CPU, it's gonna be perfect. I do agree that desktop takes a lot of space. I barely have space to put anything on my table because of my desktop. But somehow, I think desktop is much better than laptop in performance. It's cheaper to upgrade desktop as well. But yeah, it's not as power saving as laptop. Laptop with very good specification normally costs very high. I use my computer not only for going online and checking mails, I'm a gamer and programmer as well. Sometimes I need to do a lot of stuffs at one. Running too many programs at once is kind of impossible for laptop. WIth my desktop, I can have photoshop, dreamweaver, and microsoft visual web developer running at once smoothly. I like it.

My wife and I both use desktop pc's. We have no need of a laptop, and they don't have the features that a full size desktop has.

i am using a desktop most of the time. i feel more comfortable using it because it has a larger monitor and it has a better position in the house. i want to use a bigger keyboard and mouse.
i only use a laptop if i have work which needs a computer. it is very handy and easier to transport.

I use a desktop, it's all I have and i would prefer to also have a laptop one day, I can use a friend's laptop sometimes but I'm not used to its keyboard yet, a desktop is open for upgrade and changes and it's less expensive to bring it up to date than to replace a laptop as you can't change much with a laptop. I would prefer to have both but for now i will keep using my good old desktop :)
