a day after a missed period you can already test if you are pregnant. that is if you have a regular cycle with no delays.

1 week, but if you want to be sure wait up to 10-14 days. Coz sometimes after a week it yields a negative result even if your positive, so if you don't want to waste moneyon the tester, try it after 10-14 days.

It also depends partly on your individual body and each pregnancy. The hormone that the test detects builds up at different levels for each person, and each pregnancy. Personally, I have tested with 2 of my children the day after I missed my period. The other one I tested several days after. All were very clear positives.

It depends on whether you have regular monthly period that is consistently right on the schedule or you have irregular lapse in your menstrual cycle. When I missed my period for a month before, I was very sure that I'm pregnant. When I took the pregnancy test, it said negative. After a week, I took the second test, again its negative. The following week, I tried for the last time, there it was...POSITIVE!!! :)

If it is planned then you can have it before missed period date.
