If you write a quality response in a detailed manner and if the text is informative and is fo great useful in nature to the readers and the other users, also if your writing is authortative with some valuable advise when needed then I think your every response should fetch some 4 to 5 cents for each response. So with just 20 to 25 such responses can make out a dollar in your pocket I think.
I have spoken this through my three months experience. But the earnings algorithm is complex in nature and is a secret for all the time in mylot.
So just don't worry about the earnings add some refferals and make the bucks fast.
All the best from oarnamav.

It's hard to tell , it's not the same for all people and it depends on quality of the post and some unseen calculations that mylot does.
You can expect $1 for 40 to 100 responses depending on how mylot rates your quality of posts, but you can say 50 to 60 posts will make $1 for the majority of the members.

There is no fix number of posts that I can give you. The rates vary. What I do, in order to reach my target, will be to post my started discussions, maybe one or two, then post as many responses as I can manage in a day. Then, as I see the earnings updates, I come with half a dollar at times and then sometimes, more than double that amount. Make some effort at making your responses long enough. The longer you make it, the better. Avoid doing one or two liners. They will not do you much good.
