My son's 7th Birthday is coming up, and I really don't know what to get him. He gets so much all the time that I don't know what would be something "cool" for him. He loves his X Box, and is in karate, and like cowboys stuff, and outside toys. My Father bought him some kind of air gun with pellets...which is going to stay at his house. He already has a couple...I was thinking a new bike?? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your son seemed to have all that a 7-year old boy could ever have. I always try to remember the things that my kids asks of me to get them. If I can afford it, I'd get it ASAP but if I can't, then they'd have to wait for a special occassion to get their wishes. How about a kiddie bank account? You have not mentioned that he has one. Anyway, my daughter was thrilled when I opened one under her name. Every month I ask her to deposit all the money she has saved and she's happy to see that the numbers are growing. I told her she can get whatever's in it after graduation from college - which is like about 15 years from now!

Thanks for that idea. Yes, he does have an account. He actually has two. One for saving and one for spending. He like to see how much he is saving.

Hi. It seemed that your son already have every toy as kid his age could ask for. You could buy the bike by yourself or bring him along so that he can choose for his own.

One year I couldn't figure out what to get my daughter for her birthday so I decided that on her birthday I would take her shopping.
I now do this with all my children .On their birthdays we spend the day togther. I make them their favorite breakfast , we get dressed, and head to the first store. I set a limit as to how much they have to spend. They pick out their toys then we eat lunch where ever they choose.

That is a good idea. I may get him one present and take him to get the other things he wants. Thanks for posting. :)

If he likes game systems, I would suggest the Wii. It allows him to be active and play video games at the same time. It's actually quite fun and can be enjoyed at all ages!

Is he in school? You could ask him what we he like to give as a present to one of his friends (he'll probably say what he would want)
Also, could wrap him up a card in cool boy paper and have in there the suprise place your taking him and a friend of his choice as his present, like for us we have Family Fun Center, Fun Plex,Chuckie Cheese places my kids always want to go , but maybe once a year get too, and they appreciate it and talk about it all year.
