I definitely prefer reading to watching televion. There are specific televisions shows that I like, but for the most part, I only watch a little bit of television each day. I'm far more likely to have my nose in a book or be online, which also involves reading.
Once in a while though, I do get in a mood to binge on television. Usually that's after a TV show I like comes on on DVD, because then I can watch that same show for hours on end, creating a continous storyline rather than the bits and pieces I get watching TV, where I miss episodes or see them out of order because I can't remember when things come on.

Good backs are really hard to put down. Same with DVD series which keeps you hanging .. episode per episode.

hi eykah13. you can also gain a broad base of knowledge - if you watch the informative shows in discovery and national geographic.

I used to read a lot. With the introduction of mylot though in my life, it has become spending my free time at the computer already. Quite a change of lifestyle, huh? Before I got addicted to mylot, I didn't mind the computer much other than having card games to spend whatever little time I have .

I only watch a couple of shows each week, I'm not much of a tv person. I would rather read a good book.
Right now I am working my way through the public library. Since my interests are wide and varied, the library is perfect for me.

TV is always the best way for me to go. Reading is good to do but I just don't like it. I don't know why. I'm more of a visual person. I have an imagination but it is just not the same as being able to see things with my own eyes. Without my TV I don't know what I would do.

earlier i used to watch a lot of television, but then i realised its total waste of time and energy since i was just switching between the channels. now i usually watch 1-2 hrs of television especially during prime time and sometimes there are days when i dont have even enough time to switch on the Tv, now i am more into reading rather than watching tv.

I have my moods as well . Sometimes I prefer to watch t.v and other times I would prefer to sit with a good book . I never fall asleep watching t.v but do find that sometimes after reading a couple of chapters I can find it easier to fall asleep .

Most definitely, I love to read; now if there is something on tv that I want to see, then I will take the time to see it; but to be honest, I rather be reading a real good engrossing novel or book.

I love reading, but I can't live without my TV. I record so many shows on my DVR that I just don't have time to watch all of them anymore. If you look at my interests and see all the TV shows on there, that is only a small portion of TV shows that I like.

Tv is a better way to relax then reading I believe because watching tv does not require a lot of concentration while reading requires plenty of concentration to understand the content according to me.
Most of the time I prefer to watch TV because of this.

I prefer to read a book. I am a person that absorbs more when I read the words. I tend to start to zone out when I am watching TV...so I might miss some very important things being said. Or there are times a person speaks too fast or you can't understand what was said...like Lord of the Rings, I put it on closed caption so I could understand everything said. If not, I would not have gotten most of the movie.
So, I prefer to read. If it makes me tired, I will just close the book and pick it back up another time.

I like to read but when I am tired I just fall asleep doing it. I like to watch tv if something good is on to watch. Otherwise I am on computor in chat rooms mostly for me. If I want to stay awake I stay on computor love to meet new friends and chat.

Awhile ago I would have said reading without a doubt.
Now, I'll have to say watching tv. I'm really into
The Discovery channel lately.

I hate reading books, so i am into the watch t.v. thing. And if you'll include the listening to it, i will grab that one first. I don't know, it's just it's not my thing to read, i know it's a good habit, and good benefits to your self, but as i said it's not my thing, reading is not for me. But when needed, like in school, examination thing, or other important matters, something like that, no choice, I have to read=(
Cheers=)
