ok so my mom always tells me to throw the things that i do not use because they are just gathering dust in my room. well i have been keeping old and useless things which i do not have the heart to throw away because they were connected to me. the old notebooks that i have i still keep them and God, they are so many i dont know where to put them already.. i think that im way over the line when it comes to sentimentality, what do you think?. i cannot just throw something which has sentimental value to me even if practicality calls for better judgement. i dont want to part with my things even if i dont use it. why is it like that?, are you sentimental?., can you share your own sttory of sentimentality?,

I am not sentimental when it comes to things that I have and it does exasperate my father and my mother that I keep throwing things even those that they feel they still could use. I just don't like keeping things that could clutter things and those I won't really miss. But old notebooks and notes is a different matter. I still keep them even as old as way way back in high school. I don't throw them and keep them especially those card or even love letters..he he he!

hmmm i am not that sentimental. If it is something given by my girlfriend then i wont dare to throw it. But when it is some books or so, then i will surely throw it. Few people recall their old memories through the things that they were using during that period. I dont think there is anything wrong but see to it that your room doesnt become a museum ;P

I'm also a sentimental buddy, but I only try to keep the things that is being given to me by certain special people. Like the small gifts and pictures. I also tend to keep the things i think i might use in the future. I only throw away things that i frequently buy.

Well I am also that kind of person who is always keeping things that has some values to me even it gets older. This reminds me of the good old days I have had with those stuffs. Nevertheless if this will make my room too crowded then I will just have some cleaning getting rid of those less important.

I used to be extremely sentimental! That is, until I moved out of my parents house and had to start moving my stuff with me every year of college, then packing it all into a car and moving 3,000 miles away! Trust me, after the first move or so, it becomes much easier to part with things!
However, one way I came to handle this was to take photographs of my favorite things and then put the photos into a scrapbook where I could write down thoughts and what I loved about it. This actually helped me because now I have everything all in one place (or several places as I now have several scrapbooks!) rather than lost in random boxes. It's not quite the same, but it definitely is less dust and complication in my life!

yeah, i think i am. i keep diaries from long time ago (like from elementary days), slumbooks, and old letters. i mean, they're a bunch of notebooks and papers but there's something in them that's close to my heart that i just can't part with. but since i'm getting older, i try to minimize my stuff. i throw away SOME of my old things that i don't need anymore.

i don't easily trash things or give them away. i love the things that i have... they are a part of me.
my mum always tells me to give out the clothes, shoes, bags and other stuffs i no longer use since these just pile up on the cabinet and even on the floor. but i don't want to. before i get to buy those things, i will still have days of saving for it before finally having them paid. so, it's not easy to just let go of those things.
and yes,i am very sentimental. just like you.

Oh I'm terrible for keeping stuff for sentimental value, which should really be thrown away! I've got draws full of reciepts, menus, tourist guides and even carrier bags from places where I have been, dunno why I rarely look at them, but I suppose when I'm old and grey it will be a reminder of where I've been and what I've done!

I'm sentimental when it comes to music but when it comes to my belongings, not really. I'm sentimental to music only. I also listen to love songs or ballads. Actually, any music will work for me except dance music or techno. Regarding with my belongings, well I'm careful with my things but I don't really keep things with me especially when I find it useless. The only things that I treasure the most is my computer and guitar. They're just the ones who keeps me sane and insane at the same time. I love them so much that I can't live without them by my side. Haha! Sounds sentimental is it?!
