What's a nice nail polish color for SUMMER?

Summer is near (especially here in the Philippines) and I can't wait to go to the beach to enjoy the summer sun. I just want to ask what for you is the best nail polish color to wear during summers and especially while frolicking in the beach? Are dark colors better than pastel ones? Is clear nail polish the way to go? Can black be good in the beach? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I thinks black is to severe for the beach,although i love black...i suggest fun candy colors like hot pink,cherry, lime green,chocolate brown etc....u can even coordinate it with your bikini!

i was just kidding about the black nail polish, hehehe. but you're right. it might not be too cheery going to the beach with black. but i like your idea of chocolate brown...although like i said in the previous responses, i'm kinda worried about the chipping part so i might opt for light colors. lime green? hmmm, that wouldn't be so bad...i might try to look for that in the store later. will let you know. thanks for the response! =)

I think Reds and Fushia is always great, especially in the summer. I personally wouldn't go for black on your nails in the summertime. It is too bleak. You want something bright and vibrant, that says "here I am".
