hi lynboobsy, I also have a mild migraine..to share:causes are:
stress/too much or lack of sleep/over -intake of caffeinated foods& drinks/menstruation..etc to name a few. And in my case if not for everybody, the best solution is to sleep, the best option for me..I dont frequently take medicines
And to avoid the trigger of migraine, try having enough sleep, as much as possible avoid coffee & other caffeinated drinks as well as smoking.

Lynboobsy11, why don't you try acupuncture? This is healing without medicine. I heard it's good way to relieved stress and pain. Do you know what's causing your migraine? An example is like your stomach, it hurts when it is empty. Your headache might be like that....I am only kidding. If you can find out more what's causing your headache you are sure near a cure.

Stress and sunlight is the main cause of my migraine that why I evade being stress ans sunlight too. As much as possible I don't go out when it's hot outside. Thanks for your advise but I already try acupunture but it only ease a little pain not removing at all.

My migraines usuaully build from a headache and if I don't catch it early enough I'm miserable. Now there have been times where they come out of the blue, like someone hit me over the head or shot me but those aren't that often thankfully. All we can do is try to find our triggers and avoid them. We also have to have with us the medicine on hand for when they do hit so we can deal with it. It's miserable I know but what else do we do?

Yes, I know exactly how you feel! I always have 2 ibuprophen and 2 tylenol in my purse just in case a migraine is triggered. Mine come on suddenly and the only onset symptom is the inability to see correctly. I'd hate to think what would happen if I ever got my licence and was driving when the symptoms started. I'm afraid I'd have an accident.

hi lynboobsy! actually i oftentimes experiences severe headache to migraine. Eversince i worked in a call center, due to inadequate sleep, stress and workloads i always suffer on this, what im doing is that i don't want to dwell on medicines, i do take a sleep/nap then put a cold water bag on my forehead to release the pain it works for me though.

Hi preetyfeigh...eversince i've got this kind of illness really, i can't remember since when.. i observed that the main caused for me is STRESS, thats why i've tried and study to control, calm and manage my self... my feelings.... to be realistic in life so i can cope all the stress coming from my everyday problems. At start its very hard for me but by practicing it everyday now im used to it, and now it lessen the attack for me not like before i used to have it 3 to 4 times a week sometimes when i woke up in the morning the pain is still there. But now not much anymore. Try it! maybe it works for you.

Yesterday and today, I had a headache too. My trigger is sunlight thats blaring to the eyes. Yesterday I took Ibuprofen and it stopped the pain. Today the pain was back and I took paracetamol but the pain did not go away. I took Ibuprofen again and the pain is still there but it's a little bearable. I don't want to be addicted to medicines so I also use a medicated oil to help ease the pain. I just rub the oil to the left or right side of my forehead.
