I actually have a pair of my own. They look exactly like sneakers so there is no worry about looking like a clown. Plus no worries of getting fungi from other people who bowl, lol. I would suggest dexter brand, thats what i have. But have fun bowling, i know its fun.. so just have fun with it

I think it's fun..I don't think I am really great at it but I do like bowling ...it takes concentration and even if I don't hit the pins..I am releasing tension..ha ha ;)+

I was surprised to see that you asked a bowling question but was happy about it. You know that I was going to respond to this question. I have my own bowling shoes as I do not like or feel comfortable wearing shoes that others have worn. The bowling alleys always spray the inside of the shoes for safety and cleanliness so you should not worry. I still prefer wearing my own shoes.

i always rent my shoes while i go. i know most bowling alleys have this spray stuff they spray in the shoes after you wear then to kill the germs and stuff. I do not going bowling that often so it would pay for me to buy my own shoes to go.

I guess when I first was bowling I didn't care one way or the other as they always used some type of spray in the shoes and I assumed it was a disinfectant. When I joined a league, we bought our own balls and shoes. They are gathering dust somewhere...it's been years.

If you aren't using them you might want to put them up for auction..I bet you get a few pennies or more for them:)+

Nothing like having a shoe that fits..Your feet can hurt for quite some time after wearing shoes that dont fit;)+

I have been to bowling alley's. Some people do buy their own shoes, but they are high in price. I guess they have to sterlize these shoes before putting back on the rack don't you. I was like you, I didn't appreciate using shoes someone else had used.
