I am thinking about switching from microsoft internet explorer to firefox. Can anyone who uses firefox tell me how they like that browser? Please say what the advantages of using this browser are. Also tell me if there are any bad things about this browser. Thanks.

I switched to Firefox a few months ago and have never bothered using IE again at all. FF is more secure. Also the tabs feature is amazing and adds a lot of convenience to surfing. There are lots of cool add ons and themes and you'll love exploring it once you start using it.
Its also apparently faster!

Well, i'd say, first of all, in my opinion, that's one worthwhile decision that you've made. ABout switching to firefox. One advantage that firefox has over Internet Explorer that is not deniable is the fact that firefox being opensource has a lot of extensions and plugins for it. ANd more are being developed and implemented everyday. Tabbed browsing, and numerous other features make it more faster and convenient. Frankly, i find internet explored very annoying now, and firefox seems a lot better. Even the password manager and all that, is a lot better and enhanced then in Internet Explorer!

FireFox is way ahead of Microsoft Internet Exoplorer , both in terms of Speed & reliability. I switched onto FireFox around a year ago & have , not even once, regretted my decision. The best part of using FireFox is that you get so many cool themes as add-ons o enhance the look & feel of your browser, all of which was absent in Internet Explorer. Browsing has become a real fun now.........

Being a player of many browser based mmorpg i have to get a good browser.
even though i forgotten who introduced me to it i don't regret using Firefox.
Firefox provides a new look. More themes online free to download.
Firefox also has Inbuilt things like spelling checker, session manager, password manager and so on, but what is better are the other user made add ons online. made specifically to a certain need. From Tab Mix Plus (more tab function and configure), DownThemAll! (download manager), AdBlockPlus to a nifty All-in-one sidebar.Of course, they should be free of charge.
The bad thing about these add ons are that some may crash Firefox if install wrongly. Too many add ons may slow down the startup of Firefox where it can vary from a while to a minute, which i recommend you to open it twice.

Hi kythe42, I like mozilla firefox because it is very secured when compared to IE. It has an advanced security feature which makes it safe to use. I like also the add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions of mozilla, thus making it more useful. However, I also used IE because there are some websites that cannot be opened by mozilla, so I used it rarely.
Have a nice day and God speed!

Hi! :) I use firefox for years now and I'd say that I feel safer with firefox than with ie. I used to think that ie is the best browser but then when I tried firefox things changed and I don't want to switch to ie ever again. You see, when I was still using ie, my pc always ends up being infected by not just 1 virus but a whole bunch of them and so I always reformat my pc but now, my pc is completely virus-free eversince I switched to firefox! :D
In firefox, you'd get to have tabs so that you can browse at different sites in 1 window. but ie7 has tabs already right? There's a pop-up blocker and you can control the pop-ups you want. You can also add some add-ons to your firefox like ftp on your firefox or you can play music using your firefox and stuff. You can also customize the look of your firefox with themes and stuff. :)
