Before I even went to the interview today I knew that I would get the job. This is by no means my dream job. The pay is only minimum wage. My hours will be 12-6 p.m. and I will need to work every other weekend. Until I find a more suitable job, this one will have to do.
I can't say that I am doing cartwheels over the job, but at least I can breath a sigh of relief that I will have some money coming in.

I start tomorrow. First I am off to the hairdresser to tame my mane. I have to wear a visor. Great! It was that or a hat. Hats aren't my thing, neither is a visor.

Am glad for you. Will be easier to get another job now that you are gainfully employed. I have not understood why companies want to hire from other companies. Guess on some level it makes sense. Anyway the hours look decent and it will give you time for other things. Possibly another part time job. I have done that. Being Gemini it appeals to my adaptable nature. I hope it goes well for you and that you are their best employee!! Congratulations!

I am going to approach a company that I may get part-time employment from and may lead to full-time if I can make the business grow. I am a little worried about calling.

I am very happy for you that you got this job and who knows it may be something you can get to like. You did say that you knew the job was yours before being told so maybe that was a sign that this will work out just fine. As you said it will if nothing else bring in a pay cheque and the hours are pretty good.

It won't be a very stressful job. That is a good thing. But, I didn't want to go back to square one when looking for work. I worked at Dunkin' Donuts 29 years ago.

Even if you aren't totally happy with this job, I am happy to know that you did find one at least. Now you have your foot in the door at least until you find something more you.

Any income is SOME income and will help to alleviate the issues currently at hand. Now, while you have at least some means to survive, you can take the time to take the job that's right for you.
Good luck!

Thanks Marie. I know that something better will come along. It is the waiting that is killing me. I have waited since September for something.

That is gr8 news Elusive, and you have a good attitude towards it..its not the job that matters when in need, we just have to make do with what comes our way. At least it will keep you occupied and you no longer have to worry that you are jobless. I'm sure with time better things will come your way. Good luck dear!:)

It is better to have a little money coming in than not having any at all.

Relieved yes. But, I sat in the car for 30 minutes this morning knowing that I would be hired and not sure that I wanted to work there. But, it is a paycheck until something comes my way that is better.

Well, please drop a line when you can to let us know how the job is. Congratulations to you as well. It will be so good to get more than the pennies we earn on MyLot. But, I will miss everyone too.

Congratulations. Even if it´s not something you want to do and the wage is not good either, at least you will have some money coming in. The hours seem ok. You might still have the time to look for a better job.
Good luck with your new employment.

As long as it means you have a roof over your head, some clothes on your back and food in your belly, as that's what matters most! I'm not doing the job i really want to do either, but i can't simply not work whilw looking for my perfect job, so i'm happy enough for now in the job i have.
