Puerto Galera is one of the best...cheaper version of Boracay...Island hopping is really nice there...
more budget,,,,and early bookings call for boracay hehe...i haven't been there myself but of corz it'z a summer must do...provided there's enuf budget...
more more budget...palawan!!..ive been there...really nice place...nice beaches...really clean..and really peaceful...though it doesn't have the night life like bora and puerto galera...palawan is really more of appreciation of nature and peace...
closer alternatives...the classics...subic!!...batangas and laguna:)

Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is a very nice place to spend summer, it's not that over-crowded but with pure white-sandy beaches to walk upon.
The place is not that fully-developed, so expect that it is safe and clean to swim at. The expenses are also cheap, as there are cottages which are affordable to choose from.

I agree with you. That's the best place to visit. The boracay of the north. It's worth every cent of your money. Very relaxing.

there are a lot of choices really here in the philippines. thats why during summer there are a lot of tourist visiting our beaches and resorts. but for me no matter where me and my family go, no matter how far or how cheap the main focus in my mind is enjoyment and fun memories. you can go to really cool places but could not even enjoy.
during my college years me and my barkadas just spend on cheap beaches and resorts but still it was full of laughter and fun memories.

Depends on how much are you willing to spend for the trip you're planning. =) If your pocket allows you to spend a little more than what others can't, try BORACAY. The white sand of the beach is one of the main reason why I went there before. It's like walking on a long trail of powder. =)

Skip boracay, that's too over rated already. Why don't you try El Nido, Palawan, that's if you like beaches. If you're planning to go on a nature trip go to sagada. It's beautiful there.

yep. too many go to boracay already. it's too commercialized. i've heard of el nido, too. but is it expensive to spend a week there?

if you have time, you can visit the wonderful city of samal here in davao city. it's a wonderful island where most tourists go to spend some nights at the wonderful clear beach. one day, try it!

This weekend we'll be going to Nasugbu Batangas, next month we'll be going to Boracay and the month after that my friends and I will be renting a private pool in Laguna. How much is your budget and travel preference? There are many great places in the Philippines to visit this summer.

There are so much places to visit here at our country specially on summer vacation. Just choose the great world-class beaches we have like Boracay, Panglao, Cebu and others. If you want a cool p[lace consider Baguio or Batangas. Have a nice vacation everyone!

There's a lot of best places here in the Philippines but if you want to spend vacation in a beautiful beach resort it would be Bohol. Second is Batangas. Third is Pangasinan (Hundred Islands).

Bohol is the place to be!!! Watch the sun touch the white sand during sunsets in Panglao beaches...play with your fingers the world's smallest primate, Tarsier. Whistle with the Panaghoy sa Loboc River. What else do you wanna do? Wander in Bilar man-made forest? Or encounter the big phyton in Alburquerque. Want a meaningful and holy retreat from the humdrum city life? - Visit Philippine's oldest church, the Baclayon church, and get a personal experience of where Cesar Montano proposed marriage to his wife at Balwarte just a few meters away for the church. Tara na! Biyahe na!

I think that since we're talking summer here, the best place to go to are the beaches of Boracay. With the ever so lively and active parties going around in the night, good food at buffets, clear waters and fine white sand, it's still the best place for me.
But if you prefer a nice and quiet place, you can try Jawili Beaches in Aklan too for a change. If you wanna have an idea about the place, you can visit the website of my Aunnt's beach resort there that we are managing. It's called The Wassenaar Beach Resort" and here's the link: http://freewebs.com/wassenaarbeachresort

The coolest place to spend summer is the Capital Province itself, Metropolitan Manila. If you can't afford to spend your summer in Bora, the two "Puertos" (Galera and Princesa), or in Baguio, you can stay awhile in Metro. There are still cool hangouts like Malate in Manila City, Eastwood in Quezon City, Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, or even in Greenhills in San Juan City. Actually, I will just stay here in QC for the Lent.
