WOW! I didn't think I could love anyone or anything more than I loved my daughter but when this little guy came into our lives 6 weeks early and at 4 lbs I cannot believe the feelings I have for him! I love him more than I thought I could ever love anyone or anything! When my daughter was born I thought wow, this is my baby, my beautiful baby girl! Now at 23 she has given me a beautiful grandson and I love him even more than I love her. I didn't think that was even possible! He is such a special thing in my life! I could go on for pages here!!! Am I alone in this or do the rest of you grammas out there feel the same... Let me know

My parents love there Grandaughter hugely she is one of the most precious gifts in their life and to think we both nearly didn't make it. She makes them smile and she makes them laugh. The love of a Grandparent is special and I think that Grandparents should be allowed some rights over the children.

Definitely not alone. My sister said it best for me, she said"when we had our own, we loved them, raised them, but also were more involved with life. These little grandchildren, we get to CHERISH. I have been smack dab in love with my grand kids from the instant I laid eyes on them. Still feel that way. Though they are all mid teen to adult now, I still love every hair on the heads of these less than perfect people. Yep, I know they aren't perfect, they are loud, messy, sassy---------and totally adorable. Grandpa feels the same way. Blessings to you and yours.

I agree...WOW! Its so hard to describe the feelings of being a grandmother. I have a (almost) 3 year old grandson and the love I feel for him is amazing to me. I am glad to know I'm not alone in how I feel about him. You described it to a T!! The love you feel for the grandchild is 10 times more than you ever felt for your own children!

OMG! Yes. it is just unreal! I love his little face to peices! I cannot even begin to tell anyone! Unless they are a grandparent they are clueless and think I am a weirdo or something! They are just the best thins since sliced bread and running water as great gramma said! Love, love, love him! Thank you for your response!
