I use teatree oil - I spray it on my cats before they go outside and this repels all insects. Cats and dogs can get bitten by mosquitoes, too. But I don't think it kills the fleas. Try getting rid of the fleas with a flea comb first and then try the teatree oil. Get a spray bottle and mix a very small amount of teatrea oil (maybe 2 oz)with the same amount of mineral oil, then fill the bottle with water. Shake well before you spray it on the dogs. Doesn't have to be exact measurements.

Hi, apparently garlic tablets do work on dogs, i have cats so and they work on them. my vet said they'd work on dogs too. A natural remedy u could also try is bathing your dog in neem oil. u just add some drops to the water and they should help repel fleas.
Also a theres a human shampoo that fleas dislike aswell. Its called polytar and is used to treat psoriasis on humans but i have found that it also helps to repel fleas

We used to wash our dog in eucalyptus wool wash. Gentle and the eucalyptus is a good deterrant. Also, teatree oil is good to, as it mixes well with the water, is cleansing and good for those nasty scratch marks where the dog scrathces.
