How do you feel when someone eats a smelly food at the work place???

Popcorn (including when they burn it), fishy foods, onions, etc....... How do you feel when someone brings these foods to the office???? When the smell becomes disturbing because you have a headache, are allergic to the food you smell, or maybe your starving and you cant have what they have, or if it just straight STINKS?? Im very curious to this one because I made popcorn one day (I didnt burn it) but it was movie style butter so it made the office smell like butter, my manager made me throw it away because it was disturbing it train of thought because he didnt like popcorn? Was this wrong of him or me (to have made popcorn in the office)?
