Yes, that's right! President Bush and Vice President Cheney have a "top secret" 12 phase plan to have a nuclear war with Iran. This is according to the story at the url below:
http://www.rense.com/general75/plan.htm
I have studied national defense and security issues long enough to know that this story is BOGUS, as in NOT TRUE. I was able to conclude this from information provided in the story that is known to me to be incorrect. Given there are numerous falsehoods in the story of a non classified nature it is foolish to assume the classified portions could even remotely possibly be true.
However, as I read it over, I realized that when read by persons who have never had a serious interest in these matters, the story might seem believable.
So, my question is: "Do you believe President Bush and Vice President Cheney could possibly have a secret 12 step plan to wage a nuclear war with Iran?"

i go with your conclusion that it can't be true. in these days of information overflow, it's sometimes difficult to separate a true story from a lie and even more harder is to differentiate between a true and partially true stroy. there are many people out there who will make issues out of no issues and will rely on circumstantial evidence, however vague that may be. i also agree that one must have a full idea or atleast some solid knowledge and perspective about the military and diplomatic affairs so as to analyse a piece of information in it's right perspective. there are many other stories circling the web and forums like the ne that America is goig to attack iran on 6th of April. it is just media hoax and sometimes one never knows who is the originator of the story, so that it can be verified. anyway thanks for starting this thread and let's just hope that people read this story mindfully:-)

Hmmm... a conventional attack on Iran in early April is not out of the question. However, no one who knows is talking about it. So, I absolutely don't believe anyone who says it is going to happen as a certainity.

Wage nuclear war I sure hope no one would ever be that stupid, regular war ya I could buy that. But going back to the main page of the website you posted I realized I had ran accross it before, yes its a tinfoil hat kinda website. It prays off peoples fears more than the government trying to push the patriot act thru. I also traced the link in the page and it sent me to some site for Billy Jack, I dont know maybe I am a little lost but what the hell does billy jack movies have to do with a nuclear war in Iraq?? My theory is you are a government agent trying to throw us off the real story...lol. Just kidding, or am I????

Once upon a time a long time ago I served in the US Army. That is as close as I ever got to being a "Fed".
Now, if I told you the truth, I'd have to, well, you know... :-)
As to a government agent spending time here, I kinda doubt it. Wouldn't they want to spend their time interacting with persons who might affect something in some way? We are a bunch of people having fun on the internet. Really, what difference could it make what we think or say? I hope the government sends it agents to spy on people who are important in some way concerning national security. MyLotters hardly fit that description.

I went to the link thank you. I think this is a bunch of baloney. Even their disclaimer tells you to read but form your own opinion. There is no doubt in my mind that the US has a plan in the event it would be attacked by Iran or any one else. But I doubt very much that the US would launch a first nuclear strike against Iran. What makes me suspicious also is the assertion that both Bush and Cheney suffer from mental illness. Where does this information come from?
The frightening thing is that this type of propaganda has been spread around the world. I received information from someone from Romania who tells me people there believe a strike like this by the USA is imminent.

Yep, it is a bunch of baloney. True, claiming Bush and Cheney are mentally ill is one more tip off that it is lies.
A conventional strike on Iran is possible, but no one outside the military knows if this is true.

In this day and age, I feel most of us, despite our political affiliations, would realize that anyone would be STUPID to want to start a nuclear war with anyone! Nuclear war would be a last resort. No one wins with a nuclear war...the entire world would be affected.

Yes, you are correct. As best as I can determine the author is a ne'er do well trying to see how big a story he can get people to swallow just for the fun of it without regard to how many people he upsets.
I also maintain that whatever country starts a nuclear war will be ostrasized and pretty much economically ruined by the rest of the world refusing to business with it.

I went a little bit farther than just reading the original story. It is laughable in it's self but he host site is a real home for the tin-foil hat brigade.

Good for you Chiang_Mai_boy. I have tried to figure out why people write such fantasies. I have concluded that most of them get a thrill out of "fooling" people. That is, the bigger the lie they can convince more people to believe, the smarter and happier they feel. If that's not why they do it, then they really are nothing else but simply old fashioned crazy kooks.

I believe they would have a plan as to how they would respond to an Iranian nuclear attack on anyone..
It would be foolish to imagine that they would not.
Rest assured, that if Iran initiates a nuclear attack, they will cease to exist in a heartbeat, but then, that is their choice I guess.
Planning on how to respond is a defensive measure.
Initiating the hostilities is waging a war.

Like yourself, I am sure we have a plan for striking back if attacked. This article maintains we plan a first strike nuclear attack. In fact, they maintain the plan is to use 2 nuclear weapons, primarily as a way to intimidate the world while eliminating Iran's nuclear program. The article is BS.

Do I believe it is possible - yes.
Do I believe it is probable - no.
Neither one of them want to be remembered for starting or being involved in a nuclear war. If they did; they would have already "cleaned up" the situation in Iraq by having a "nuclear accident".

I don't think there is a deliberate 12 step plan (what are they anyway AA?) but I've had suspicions about the build up in Iraq and it's closeness to Iran for quite a while. I definitely think there is an agenda there.

I believe we have to cover all the bases. Under no circumstances should we not have a plan in place for all scenarios.
Are they "top Secret" 12 step plans? I HOPE SO! Otherwise, what is the point of having a plan? Any dealings with Iran that are leaked to the media will end up in the Iranian hands and allow them to alter their strategy.

I don't know about a 12 step plan, however I'm pretty sure that there is a plan in place that would involve a nuclear war...as a LAST RESORT.
There is no doubt that every president has scenarios based on nuclear war. That does not mean they ever really plan to use them though.
I also have no doubt that there is a plan already in place to deal with Iran if it becomes necessary, but it would be with conventional weapons.
Nice title BTW...

I believe that anything is possible. I have it on good authority that this just might be true. I believe that this whole deal with the Middle East is all part of a well-laid plan that was conceived maybe even before 9/11. Greed is a powerful motivator. The West is greedy for oil, as it has been proved in the past.
