The humble barbecue. Who cooks it in your household?

When I was a kid, the bbq was always the males domain, tongs in one hand, beer in the other. However, times have changed, as has the humble barbecue. No longer do some people have the simple plate and grill. You now have the equivalent of the kitchen oven, or better, out in the backyard. It's no longer just a simple task of throwing on a few chops and sausages, now you just about need a degree, and thats just to turn them on. Women also have taken on the role of cooking the barbecue also. Just wondering who cooks the BBQ at your place?

I rule the grill and smoker in our house! I love it. I bbq brisket, pork shoulder, ribs, and chicken. I even make summer sausage in the smoker. I entered a bbq competition a couple years ago and I was the only female with a team. On my first try I won Reserve Grand Champion. I hope to enter more this year.

You have no idea! They all look forward to our gettogethers. My sister-in-law knows she will get ribs. She tries to take the whole plate home with her. LOL

the man of the house does with my family. i have made a few attempts at it, but for some reason i cant even get the dumb charcoals lit and ready. sure i can get them to catch fire! lol, but not burn long enough to turn gray or white..whatever the right color is.
