Anybody still using IRC? I used to, before. it's quite fun and it's simple. But it was a long time ago. I wonder if anyone of you guys still use IRC now? If so, do you find it the same as before?

There are still some using mIRC as a means to chat. mIRC is very open and doesn't have much restrictions unlike in yahoo or msn.

I still use IRC every once in a while to play certain games or share files with some communities I used to be involved with. I defintely don't think IRC is what it used to be. The only messaging software I use regularly is AIM (AOL Instant Messenger).

IRC is the first chat software I have ever used. But now, I'm not into chatting anymore. I kinda get sick of those people who are trying to be someone else. I've read from a website somewhere that IRC is a den of viruses. Sometimes when you send a message, a hacker will get your IP address and will install a virus in your computer. I don't know if that's true but I think that issue made IRC chatters shift to Yahoo Messenger. Anyways, I just think you wanted to hear that information. Hehe! - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr
