what kind of relationship do you mean?
You can befriend them i think *talk with them, exchange emails, but never fully trust them yet*
And if your planning to go beyond friendship, just by that type of communication. I personally don't agree with that.
Unless you have seen him already and knew that person a lot afterwards.
But just by emails- NO! i don't think its advisable.
well, we are old and smart enough. Just be responsible in every choice you do =)

I think that it takes time to work out whether someone you are talking to is trustworthy or not.
In my experience I haven't experienced any bad people on the net, which is great considering I have been chatting to people and meeting them for over 5 years.
I think you do need to be careful and not take everyone seriously, but on the other hand don't be too suspicious of everyone as most people online are just ordinary people like you.

No,you have to be very careful about it,thoughts and e-mail are not enough to know the real person, you have to meet him/her.Don't just based the personality of the person through e-mail or letters.
