Here are some tips to help make a web site popular. Use META tags. These are located in the HEAD section of the web page. Use robots.txt file. This file is located at the root of your web page. Search engines will look for it at "www.site.com/robots.txt". List all web pages on your site in the file. The format is: Allow: / Allow: /contact/ Allow: /example/page.htm Submit the site to as many search engines as possible. Even ones in other languages will help your popularity. You can submit to google at "google.com/webmasters/". The more sites that reference your site the more popular the search engine will consider your site. Have other sites link to your main page (i.e. "site.com/"). Adding news pertaining to your site will help the search engines categorize your site. You can manuall change it every month if your not familiar with scripting. Create links from a section of column of a page to a full page pertaining to that column or section.
