I am 37 weeks with #2. I cant wait for this pregnancy to be over with. I cant sleep cause i get up 50 times to pee and i cant get comfortable. then i want to sleep all day. I have so many damn contractions every day and still havent went into labor yet. I get heartburn and i am just miserable. How are the rest of you feeling?

Oh, yes. I remember that. My firstborn is now 46 years old, but I still remember those last weeks. She was two weeks late and still in no hurry to get born. She was getting so big that the doctor said we'd better induce labor before she gets too big for me to birth. She was nine pounds and eleven ounces and 23 inches long. She looked like she was a month old. I always joke that she was waiting to walk out!
And yet now, all that is long ago and far away. It will be a faded memory before long for you too.
One thing that helped a little was propping the end of the bed up two inches. It took a lot of pressure off my bladder. You might try it to see if it helps you.
How old is your firstborn? Young enough for naps? I sure hope so so you can grab a catnap, too. If not, arrange for friends to come take the firstborn for an hour. Rotate friends and family so no one gets burned out. But you need your rest. The doctor should be able to give your something for heartburn. Try drinking more water during the day, but not after 6 p.m. You need the fluids in your system to support the uterus and amnio. But you need to have less bladder pressure at night. So drink up early! :-)
It won't be long now. Then you'll get to cuddle that new little bundle. I long to have a cuddle with an infant. All my children and grandchildren are beyond the cuddle stage. Guess I'll just have to wait for great grands.

I know how uncomfortable it can be especially towards the end. I never did have contractions at 37 weeks, but I was 2-3 centimeters dilated 2 weeks prior to having my first son. Everyone thought I as going to give birth any second! LOL
With my second son, my pregnancy flew by and now I sit here typing this with my 6 year old 'baby' sitting on my lap as I type this! I look back and think how I wish it hadn't flow by so fast, even if I was uncomfortable.;)

I'm not pregnant right now but I know how you felt, when I was around 36 weeks the hours seem to go on forever until I went into labor. Maybe walking around can help the baby to go down and for you to go into labor. Good luck and Congratulations.

I´m at 35 weeks and feeling pretty much the same. It is so annoying to have what seem to be useless contractions, isn´t it? Are your hips as sore as mine? That is my main reason for not sleeping, my hips just kill me in any position! Tums works well for the heartburn though, and they don´t hurt the baby since they are pure calcium. I take about 5-10 a day!

obviously i am not a woman and shouldn't have anything at all to say about a woman in her 37 th week. but during the birth of both my children i was the one who got the cramps, and craveings and the labor pains. she just layed there transmitting them to me. how is this done?........i have a daughter in law in the same stages of pregnancy as you, she is anxious too. hang in there, maybe tonights your night lol

AW I know how you feel. The last month of pregnancy is so hard. I remember being there three times. But it will happen before you know it and you will be enjoying your precious baby. I used to drink milk for heart burn. it would a bit or drink spearmint tea. Good luck and congrats on your baby.

Cassie, I'm very sorry for you discomfort. When my daughter was pregnant with her fitst child she suffered from a lot of heart burn. So she learned about rasberry tea that is called the pregnancy herb. So I purchased it for her and it took away the heart burn. So maybe you should investigate it and see it could help you.

Well I felt the same way when I was pregnant. I had my baby induced because I can no longer take the pain of contractions at night. I know what you are feeling right now is normal but it is still best to let your ob-gyne know this.

I am only 19 weeks so needless to say I am not ready for it to be over yet. I am not ready!! DS is only 15 months and he needs a few more months too. I am hoping he will be a champion sleeper, off the pacifier and a little better at following the "rules" by the time hislittle sister comes along.
Congrats on the new little one. Just remember, you can't be pregnant forever.
